limited coloured vinyl pressing. one of my big favourite instra tunes is vicodin (released with lets talk – a dark, foreboding dubstep classic) and it gets a makeover by skudge who are getting mentions everywhere right now. check this track, even the waveform looks f***in dark! skudge warp it into something between dubstep and house but with all the downer-rhythm that really makes this track. along with the remix theres more from boddika in grand prix. short and sweet little hypnotic bounce track with serious dancability.

fresh from the pleasures of introducing jon convex to the world, 3024 heads off on a pair of tangents for the next project. the 14th release marks the labels first split 12 inch - a result of 2 tracks falling in to their collective lap that were too good to wait for individual releases. despite the 2 very different acts involved, the symmetry in both musical background and production methodology makes for a record as coherent as any in the labels back catalogue, with both artists closely linked to both 3024 and martyns career.

we get a taste of the album on the sampler with electro x juke style tracks >thomp< and >when i dip< which have both been savaging dance floors worldwide over the last few months in the sets of djs such as loefah, addison groove, craig richards and benji b amongst others.

skreams label rounds of 2010 with a classic release. its not often a gem like this comes along and its no surprise that fellow production collaborator skream picked it up for his disfigured dubz imprint. having been a regular floor filler over the past year within the emerging techno x dubstep scene, >voyeur< has been in high demand and finally sees the light of day to many peoples delight. it was one of instra:mentals first dabbles with the 4/4 structure but has the maturity and qualities of a rediscovered 90s classic.
