nice price deal !!! a good year lies ahead for sonar kollektiv: one of the stables most successful and most enduring horses is back at the starting gate. after a hiatus of seven years micatone will finally release their new and long-awaited fourth album >wish i was here< in march. with >gun dog< we get a jaunty candy as a taster for the enhanced richness, maturity and deepness of the berlin based fieve-pieces sound. in addition to the original album version the 12 inch features a more laid back rendition (shuffle version) and a remix by sonar kolletiv honcho alex barck. after his widely acclaimed remixes f.e. for incarnations and jeremy glenn, barck once again shows proof of his understanding how to make a proper song work in the club, most preferably at peak time. building up and up until half way through it suddenly breaks down to cause one of these magic, energized moments almost every respectable dj longs for. therefore, we dont see any reason why you shouldnt bag this one in!

ether003 is a four track release by helsinki based dj/producer kitkatone. the release includes two original tracks with two remixes by techno masters woo york and attemporal. starting off the release, a1, oppressor, is a slightly old school tune - raw and beautiful blend between house and techno. the following woo york remix turns the track to a ruthless techno beast with a hint of industrial vibe. b1, remainder, presents a darker atmosphere with crude and fierce banging and mid-winter gloominess. the closing track attemporal remix brings in a deep and spacey brooding, bonding the release into an extremely sterling techno pack.

straight from the basement parish of yippiee headquarters the two hanover-artists igor the koi und kiatone (filtertypen) present their first joint production! bittersweet sorrow is a symbiosis of rolling groove and instrumental beauty picking up the listener physically and emotionally. beatamines & david jachs interpretation of the track comes a little less frisky. their remix is the reduced and rather streamlined version of the original yet underlining the immense stride forward – another thunderbolt release by the successful duo. the ep is complemented by igor the kois solo track broken chords. he utterly delivers a deep house stunner combining dub chords with a catchy groove and brilliant percussion. a must have!
