slamming minimal groove tracks

dubtil’s debut for amphia comes in line with the previous 10 releases’ tagline: tailoring new musical perspectives into the multidimensional universe of electronic music. the opener -indoiala- sticks into our brains with its slow decaying voices, pitched down to embrace the devilishly simple percussion. keeping the same eerie approach to his idea of dancefloor oriented loops, dubtil completes side a with -alta schema-, another typical kick-led experience enveloped into a more haunting bassline. bearing a deep house dna yet not losing contact with the dancefloor energy through its breaks pattern, side b’s -repet slap repet- opens the gates to the abstract structure of -contrar-, an apparently chaotic contiguity of weird samples, glued to each other by the minimalistic bassline. jumping from one genre to another, confronting dusty preconcieved ideas just to turn them into a fresh sound: dubtil’s imagination fountain is far from getting dry! we now have the tangible proof.

releasing not very often, understand has always kept things in the dark about what is going to happen next. the wait is over and the fifth instalment of the series is named ebandogue and features 3 tracks from dubtil, one of today s best producers in the bucharest underground. ruling side a is opus ebant, an epic masterpiece, driven by a groovy bassline and subtle male choirs. this heavenly atmosphere goes from trippy to driving back and forth making it perfect for a peaktime moment that won’t be forgotten. may also be used in some worship places. debandada and epilogue share side b and besides the producer himself that is almost everything they share. debandada is kind of dark and experimental but full of energy in the same time with weird whispers and evolving hats keeping everything on the move. epilogue has a more positive approach, the general uplifing feeling is spiked ocasionally with a techno resonator and some background synths, and just like that, the random delayed male vocals make it so more interesting.

limited box edition. alex font is the essence of this new label minimaler factory, besides being a precious friend whom with it was overdue to create a story on vinyl together. being as much impressive as a stunning performer, as an ace producer, as a fantastic musician, a dedicated mastering engineer as well as a fascinating music teacher, this is nevertheless first and foremost by his incredible human side that he is even more standing out. this first album from alex font has been imagined since 2020 as a collector item in and out, it is a significantly meaningful release for us which will be available as a very limited boxed gatefold 190g edition.
