following on from transmissions by gauss, sota and faune, ornate music is proud to welcome hotly tipped birmingham talent jayson wynters to the fold. wynters has already made a strong impression via releases on mr gs phoenix g label and dont be afraid, and now he serves up two original tracks that further shape out his deeply hypnotic approach to house music. alongside the immersive allure of wynters originals, rising talent caldera offers up a stripped back, meditative broken beat remix of ancient tones fresh from his appearance on wncl recordings late last year. the latitude ep is a natural fit for ornate, giving wynters and caldera free reign to show off their uniquely mesmerizing styles of contemporary house and techno.

uss is a collaborative studio project that has been active since 2014. individually, chicago native natan h has released on labels as respected as manmakemusic and finale sessions, while maltese producer owen jay has been spotted on underground quality and minuendo to name but a few. independent from their accomplished solo careers, gauss has a strong identity all of its own which taps into the immersive mood of ornate music while coming at it from a fresh direction. building on the foundations of their self-released 12- series and appearances on contrast-wax and hizou deep rooted music, the maximum entropy ep finds the duo in formidable form. from low-blowing electro drums to shimmering pads, rugged, snaking house grooves to hypnotic, metallic chords, on this record gauss have carved out a cohesive sound world that channels the spirit of classic dub techno. it s this common thread that brings the four distinct tracks together into a truly engrossing exercise in deep-diving electronic music. to celebrate this landmark release each record includes a limited edition printed insert featuring the label artwork from the 1st 25 releases cataloguing the story so

dutch producer sota is the latest to be snapped up by ornate music, presenting his second ever release having first come to light with his own talaman label earlier in the year. subsonica rides on a tough house groove, keeping the elements as spartan as possible while heading straight into the deep end of the night. inverse is a skippier affair that deals with heavily processed synth flares and a deadly swinging groove, and then chatka finishes the ep off with a dreamy cut peppered with delay processing for the quintessential dubby trip through refined 4/4 dance music.

review ornate music continues in its mission to reach out to the freshest talent in the house and techno scene by shining a light on emergent german talent faune, following last years stellar releases by ka one & st-sene and homepark. thus far, jakob panthels production as faune has been spotted on the soundscape versions label, while under his own name he has produced two albums released digitally on crystalline days. most recently, he delivered the four-track isvatten ep to tuesday slump, which operates out of his native munich. as well as his rising release schedule, he has been appearing frequently on the circuit in munich and berlin, performing alongside the likes of a made up sound, stefan jòs and skudge. on this ep panthel delivers three tracks of deep, hardware-powered techno with a keen dancefloor instinct, fitting right in to the ethos of ornate and marking another step forward for faune.

with the original pressing of the 2013 release long gone but still in great demand, ornate is thrilled to revisit leifs each day made new ep and give it a lavish new repress on violet coloured vinyl. when the record originally dropped it received support from artists as well-respected as larry heard, soul capsule, jane fitz and rhythm plate, and continues to be spun regularly to this day.

the latest ornate music offering sees the welcome return of homepark duo rob glassett and sam fussell, last seen on the label with the fill emptiness ep in 2012. since then, homepark have gone on to issue just the one 12-, untitled for courtesy of balance, whilst glassett developed his fold project, making this return to ornate most welcome. the style glassett and fussell deal in remains ever consistent, fusing crisp machine rhythms with plush chords and strings, using the finest ingredients to whip up impeccable house music to burrow comfortably into any number of nocturnal situations. with melodic soul at its core, this ep carries the ornate message on perfectly from previous flag-bearers ka one & st-sene and jordan in a blissful blur of blue-hued synths and bumping drums.
