vinyl reprint of a highly sought after electronic abstract future jazz release by italian library/soundtrack composer piero umiliano /moggi originally release on omicron. pieros releases are generally hard to find and very expensive on vinyl and this here, released on mental grooves sublabel wrwtww makes no difference. heres a review from a last years cd edition: tra scienza e fantascienza is an album of histrionic piero umiliani recorded under the pseudonym moggi.

among all the aliases used by the great piero umiliani, m. zalla is perhaps his most rich and surprisingly multifarious: mainly used to produce experimental records that had little commercial appeal, this ‘nom de plume’ (along with moggi) is tied to memorable episodes of his career, releases such as “problemi d’oggi” (literally “today’s problems”), “mondo inquieto” (i.e. “an unsettling world”), and also “suspense”, now reissued by schema records. the vinyl release includes a cd-copy of the album.
