myke forte announces lessons, his progressive future-funk inspired instrumental ep. proud winner of numerous beat battles, featured on adobe website and a collaboration with samsung x hypebeast myke has partnered up with world renowned illustrator daniel isles (dirty robot) to bring out this widely anticipated ep which showcases his silky production skills displayed on the recent remix with prolific dj/producer chris read and chicago mc pugs atomz released on uk record label bbe earlier this year. from tracks like -the lightbulb- to -fallen star- myke creates glistening, synth-driven electric-soul with each melody on this 7 track debut ep.

we are happy to introduce you to the second ep from by dc salas on biologic records, the label that he co-founded and manages with the french producer abstraxion. they celebrated their 10 year anniversary at the end of 2015 and continue to release a string of eps to mark the occasion. ‘when you left’ is an ep that overcomes sadness. times can be rough, but it never lasts forever. this original material is complemented by two powerful remixes: one from the mysterious cliff lothar, who is supported by people as diverse as john talabot, delta funktionen and radiohead’s thom yorke. the second remix is done by the australian producer inkswel (bbe). this ep is an important step for the producer as he prepares his debut album ‘the unspoken’ which will be announced by biologic records in the coming months. pressing on transparent green vinyl.

apartment returns with a release exploring 3 facets of house music all inter-connected by the vocals of uk soul & rnb singer, greg blackman (bbe music). steve leggets (four hands, claremont 56) original believe mix, the catalyst for the project, is an expansive 10 minute-plus journey through wistful dub lead by blackmans soaring vocals. on the flip mark hand (signals from the north) delivers a re-working, sculpting a beautiful, sun-kissed masterpiece featuring drums and percussion by darren moore alongside hands inspired playing on the rhodes and moog. to close out the release ncw finally makes a return to apt and subsequently gets lost in the dmz pitching and twisting blackmans vocals over a pulsating, bumping house banger.

the nyc edit master kon (from kon & amir) has, after a bunch of hyped reworks on hands of time, bbe and on track delivered basic fingers a 12 inch with two killer disco reworks. we start with windy city >chicago<, a fierce disco edit that kon twisted just the right way! its playful and soulful disco at its very best. but the highlight of the release is possibly hidden on the flip. here we get a +10 min uplifting disco rework of sylvesters high energy hit >mighty real< which now sounds way fresher (and better) than the original if you ask us. yes, we are talkin real dance music on basic fingers ... a label with the goods!
