from the lands that time forgot birdie is proud to bring you an ep of the highest quality from the artist currently know as causa. hailing somewhere from up in the hills on the border between deepest darkest east lancashire and west yorkshire (thats up north to you lot) causa joe is a long time friend of trevino marcus. joe is underground and a lover of proper house music and has never been interested in music trends (he is a fisherman for christ sakes). he has been making music under various guises for 15 years with an apparent 6 year gap to go fishing. he has had releases with 202/20 vision tusk wax and paper recordings to name but a few. as marcus and joe still meet regularly for a pie and a pint its no real surprise then that this ep of some of marcuss favourite music of joes has come to pass. enjoy.

nie klangen dark sky smoothier als auf rainkist, einer modernen soul-ballade mit genialer bassline, melodischer eleganz und verschleierten falsettvocals, aus der schweiß und sex triefen. anders die remixer: der trevino remix mit seinen scifi-synths, electro-snares und claps ist ein slowburner für den behutsamen aufbau. marcel dettmann wiederum streckt das spannungsgeladene intro mit hämmerndem subbass und sehnsüchtigen vocals zu einem pumpenden techno-track aus, der bei 3:30 minuten droppt, um sich dann in einen absoluten dancefloor-filler zu verwandeln, der beste chancen hat die remixpolls in 2014 ordentlich aufzumischen.

canadian producer kevin mcphee has already released an assured and consistent schedule of records since 2011, cropping up on strong independent labels such as idle hands, demolition man (with gerry read), wncl recordings and our own hypeltd (2011s blue organ ep). so its a return to hypercolour for mr. mcphee, with the boris ep, with added clout from a superb trevino remix.

great follow up of dolly dubs 01! once again staffan lindberg is delivering. his nice & smooth the orbit is a great & optimistic club track that will have the sun shine on any floor, with the mighty trevino remix adding a slightly rough edge to the original version. but dont let the easy-going fool you! the b-side dives in deeper territories with y2k that reminds a bit of early kevin saunderson works, and feel like dancing, which is a proper sexy house burner for the morning hours. wonderful & diverse release.
