ltd 2020 repress - following on from last year s debut release in the myor massiv “luv” sub series by coco bryce, this time he teams up with partner in crime fff for another slice of lovey dovey junglism. fff kicks things off with “never let you fall”, on which he juxtaposes moody synth riffs with uplifting reggae vocals, making for an alienating yet strangely attractive combination, before delving into amen mayhem extraordinaire. on the flip coco bryce opts for a higher cuteness factor on “lovin u”. not necessarily aimed at the dancefloor, but with an undeniably “junglist” feel to it, this little number is probably best described as a “love song for the heads”, although its ultra low bass frequencies are likely to rattle any sub woofer in the best of dub traditions.

dubcore vol.12 welcomes back rotterdam soundboy fff under the radar. fff droped two tunes for dubcore vol.7 in 2009, now he is back for four more tunes. he is taking his round this time with a melange of footwork infected jungle, hardcore slaps on dubby basslines and darkside and ragga breakbeats.

dutch jungle loons fff and coco bryce team up once again for another amen excursion on myor massiv. space is the place on this 12inch, with both jams featuring a short documentary s worth of chatter about giant planets, failed stars and opposing quadrants. whereas fff takes a rather intricate and, dare i say it, intelligent approach on the a-side, coco bryce s more massiv goes straight for the throat, with amen chops and a double tempo pulse bassline being dropped mere seconds after take off.

purple vinyl , the 5th myor massiv release also marks fff s 3rd outing for the label. no split this time, but a full 4 track solo ep by the dutch amen manipulator extraordinaire. no time for funny business on this one. fff takes you straight into moody sci-fi territory and heavy yet intricate choppage on “it began in man s mind”, followed by “we sleep”, on which he takes a slightly less throat-cut approach, slowly building things up to a dark hoover climax. “would d think it s smooth enough” displays a beautiful mish mash of slick sounding synth stabs, 808 juke drums and break beats. dedicated to dyanko. the ep is finished off in style with “murder comet”, which kicks off with a loud and clear clash message to all soundboys out there, followed by a spot of smoothness, only to take a turn for the worse again after about a minute or so, before all mayhem is finally unleashed via a set of mentasm stabs halfway through the tune. no prisoners, no mercy..

rustling, hypnotic and pounding. the first release from riviera club sees skuffface and caldera stepping up and making their debut. taking a side each, skuffface draws on more ambient, laid back excursions, whilst caldera goes in, delivering some hard hitting, crunchy club cuts.

bastian heerhorst, also known as fukkk offf brought the heat at the end of 2007 with electro hip hop stormer >im a freak< which gained huge support from djs and clubs across all genres and time zones. he is back for summer 08 with a three track monster called >rave is king<. if you wanted more after >im a freak<, then youve got it. the a-side kicks off with the single for which the e.p. is named and it starts out with a computer voice chanting >neon lights, party people, revolution, rave is king< backed by a maximized electro basslines straight out of 2008. the flashback comes in after about four minutes taking you back to 1988 with piano stabs from when rave was only a young prince. next up is >rock paper scissors< which is quite simply a monster builder that only gives you rare glimpses of a release. on the b-side things take a decidedly darker turn with >black phantom< another beast with menacing organ grinds and horror movie vocal snips. dark, pounding and relentless, >rave is king< brings you the full view of the royal court of fukkk offf
