the contemporaly house tracks which combine his established heavy groove, smoothness & beautiful essence! -secret floor 002- misterious, raw feeling & the roop of vocal sample are intertwined together to be miraculous sounds-saturday night- melodious and uplifting house track-o-nature- unique sound quality made by mpc & the trumpet sample greatly melt together -sky lounge- slow down...dope track with a spice of japanese sample blackoly profile:dj, beatmaker, and sound producer in tokyo, japan. born in 1981, his parents taught him to play in a forest and make what he wants to play by himself. started his dj carrer when he was 19.the first track he played was -bucktown- by smif-n-wessun. in the ensuing year he started making tracks under the name of dj shibaki. kept releasing his own tracks by casset tapes and cd-r and released -document-(12-) in 2006. after that he released mix cd -abstract- and -gravity-, and he has done around 100 of play in a year with his style of going back and forth freely among various sounds evolving abstract, breakbeats and hiphop.in 2009 he played together with dday one, dorian concept without knowing who they are. when he played together with dj kensei, he got a meaningfull comment -do you always do such a mix?- in 2010 he became immersed in creating tracks with mpc2000xl which was not not used for a long time, and started doing dj & live only with his own tracks by using cd-r & kaoss pad. thereafter he started making house tracks under the name of blackoly influenced by house djs & dancers whom he has played with since 2000s. the various music in his background & the dancer s excitement on the floor like -house- atmosphere greatly melted together and it led to build his unique sounds. in 2013 he released -dirty channel-(12-), in 2014 -dr.circus-(cd), and his work continues to this time.

repress 2015 ... the second series of yygrec comes from dj qu, who leads the us underground house scene with jus-ed, fred p, levon vincent. in the mid 90s dj qu came to japan as a world soul member together with house dancer brian footwork green, marjory and joey anderson (who was featured as the first series ofyygrec).
the 2 new tracks by qu unleashes yet another underground vibe with a dark, mysterious, composed simple touch. more than anything, the uplifting rhythm unique to a former dancer will surely capture and fulfill your senses.

the * dance session band project* started for the session with the dance duo symbol-ism who represents yoyogi, tokyo known as the base of yygrec. the band is composed by three members. daisuke fujiwara (sax), well versed in detroit techno, got attention when he was playing in his original band “phat”, which sublimated the improvisation style of techno and jazz in 90’s. after that he has played with jeff mills and also with underground resistance. masatsugu hattori (drums) who has been playing across the genre, has appeared on the fighting-style music event boycott rhythm machine versus live. he has also played and gone on a duo tour with mc sibitt from a hiphop crew origami. keigo iwanami (bass) is playing in a club jazz band sleepwalker, a punk band midori, oncenth trio, zycos and more. he keeps playing in various fields of music like jazz, pop, punk, improvisation music etc. in this project, they creates “physical” dance session music inspired by symbol-ism, and reflects their each musical backgrounds of jazz, techno, house, hiphop, punk, improvisation and so on.

born and raised in union city, new jersey, nicuris journey towards djing and producing took hold later than most. moving in circles surrounding exchange place (dj qu & joey anderson, david salazar) helped craft his style of djing & musical influences. influences were many, especially growing up in the early 80s, listening from hip hop to new wave & anything in between.

after the releases of mix cd - era- by joey anderson, 12 inch eden / do this here by dj qu, the 3rd release from yygrec is dirty channel by a japanese dj and trackmaker blackoly. created through the mastery of the mpc2000xl, the simple musical structures are evolved around deep and heavy kicks with overlapping soft and solid sounds. the 4 tracks are a collage of unique sounds depicting a distinctive world unparalleled in its existence.

semesters returns with the iii in the series. absolute killers here as to be expected, and judging by qu’s recent output (yygrec etc) this is sure to fly out of the door extremely quickly.
