zum 20. jubiläum präsentiert das nachtdigital festival sein erstes doppelvinyl: nach sechs split-eps und mini-compilations in den vergangenen jahren macht das zum festival gehörende label nun den nächsten schritt. -nachti xx- versammelt beiträge von kollaborativen projekten die auch teil des festivalprogramms sind. die erste platte bestreiten giegling und klm (ein speziell für diesen anlass zusammengestellte formation aus kassem mosse, lowtec und mix mup), die jeweils eine ganze seite bespielen. vinyl nummer zwei vereint pandt und cologne tape mit einem beitrag aus der crew des festivals. das ganze kommt in einem von hausgrafiker manuel birnbacher gestalteten gatefold-cover, ist wie immer streng limitiert und wird ausschließlich auf vinyl veröffentlicht.

perm is one of leipzig s most busy producers and performers of electronic music. after releases on shtum, mana all nite, dur, kann and nachtdigital in recent years, holger is more than happy to welcome him with a four-tracker that o ers a deep insight into his vision of timeless techno: airy and yet rmly grounded, with a foggy atmosphere that permeates a vast space of sound. it is trippy and hypnotic but also very bodily and highly energetic. with these qualities it ts very nicely with holger 11 (polo) and 12 (barnt) a perfect closer for this mini triplet series, a concept that has become sort of a trademark for the label.

studio bruno is the joint project of johannes beck as well as his friend musicians and producers. the concept of studio bruno is based on a one week stay at studio bruno in an old farmhouse in steigerwald, franconia, a lovely nature park in north bavaria, where each musician invited brings a machine or an instrument of his choice. the focus of that week is the common producing and live improvising.for the first record steffen bennemann (nachtdigital) and sevensol (kann) were invited. sevensol brought his tr-707, his monotron delay and steffen bennemann came with his field recorder. the result of this one-week session is a deep house track with a distorted synth line and a krautrock-slash-funky jazz track!

mutual musik is back on deck: the label, which for the time being is based in berlin and munich, – kicks off its third ep with liell. liell stands for >liebe ist ein leises lied< (love is a quiet song) and the four new tracks from label captain johannes beck reveal techno from a poetic and fragile aspect. beck’s sophisticated compositions are characterized by slowly evolving arcs of suspense, simultaneously careful and powerful piano cues, and basses which delve into the innermost realms. the tracks are created for the club but go beyond musical fads and count on a timeless style
