various artist ep collaborations 2 from unlock recordings, featuring tracks from label head solimano, bruno de vincenti, christian burkhardt, barem and federico molinari. gonzalo solimano first created the unlock recordings imprint back in 2004 as a platform to support latin american productions, and ever since then the buenos aires label has played host to the likes of guti, jorge savoretti and franco cinelli. the second instalment in the labels collaborations series, solimano now invites german producer christian burkhardt to join argentinian talents bruno de vincenti, oslo records artist federico molinari and fun records founder barem for a split release. first up is solimano & bruno de vincentis cut love nebulae which layers infectious percussion with gentle chord sequences and filtered effects. christian burkhardts doog then cuts in on a deeper and darker tip, with a low-slung bass groove and hypnotic pad sequences. up next is barems funk duck with its rolling percussion, staggered synths and a pulsating low end, before federico molinari rounds off the package with 2.014.2, blending dubby bass patterns, chopped samples and frantic synth spirals.

for the latest instalment in the apollonia story we look to argentina and the talented producer federico molinari. having been based in germany for the last couple of decades, federico has refined his sound, developing a strong signature through his dj sets and his studio productions, most of which he has released via his label oslo. federicos ability to craft effortless grooves and timeless rhythms is evident here on this killer new three-tracker. side a is the eight-minute long roller * congo toys*. the focus here is on a crisp 4x4 beat, which keeps things simple – under this lies a sturdy bassline. all the while, the low end is accompanied by a series of bleeps, which could almost be the chatter between two archaic computers, modulated and weaving in and out of the beats and bass. on the flip, we have two more dance floor-ready joints. like * congo toys*, * tres cuartos* is focused around a simple foundation, with layers of unusual effects – an overriding sense of playfulness comes through in molinaris production, perfect for the boogie down crew. last up, * joyfex* takes us further into leftfield, hypnotic, hazy atmospherics draw us into their web and we are tangled up in a mesh of vibrating whirrs and echoing, distorted voices. sublime business from an apollonia favorite…

und es geht weiter - nach dem geglueckten labelstart von ritter butzke studio sind wir nun bereit für die naechste runde. das zweite release kommt ebenfalls von einem resident des hauses, naemlich patryk molinari, dessen >addicted to the vibe ep< schon ueber ihren namen deutlich macht wohin die musikalische reise gehen wird. die a-seite >addicted< ist ein 80s angehauchter track ohne dabei wie ein abklatsch aus alten zeiten zu wirken. getragen wird der song durch ein massives bass-fundament wozu sich dann im spaeteren verlauf noch wohlige pads und eingaengige weibliche vocals gesellen, welche den tracktitel besingen - >im so addicted!< die b-seite bietet dann mit >neon vibe< einen schoenen kontrast dazu. hier hat patryk wesentlich fokussierter auf den groove gearbeitet ohne dabei in die belanglosigkeit abzudriften. fuer die noetige spannung sorgen die tiefen maennliche vocoder-vocals, gutdurchdachte chord-rhythmen und natuerlich das punktgenaue drumming, welches sofort zum mitgrooven animiert. zu diesem track haben dann noch kotelett & zadak einen remix beigesteuert, der sich natürlich am original orientiert, ihm aber zugleich einen ganz anderen charakter verleiht. die beiden haben das thema deutlich percussiver aufgegriffen und den groove dann zusaetzlich mit einer sehr praegnanten bassline untermalt. das abwechslungsreiche arrangement und diverse effektspielereinen sorgen dafuer, dass mit sicherheit keine langeweile beim hoerer aufkommen wird. alles in allem ein sehr rundes release, wie wir finden, und daher hoffen wir dass es auch bei euch wieder auf anklang stoßen wird!

after remixing chupacabras the bigger man for us already in 2006 the oslo label mastermind and our dear friend federico molinari is now releasing his first solo single for our label. federico has been constantly upgrading his studio over the last two years and by this of course also has gained even better production skills. combining modular sounds and lots of effects with his own very well structured and characteristic rhythms can be described described as his new way working. we think that he is doing great and truly hope that you like his stuff as much as we do

das erste erfolgreiche jahr unseres ambitionierten club-labels neigt sich nun dem ende zu und wir blicken voller stolz auf 5 großartige releases von unseren residents mario aureo & manuel moreno, patryk molinari, kuriose naturale, madmotormiquel und schlepp geist zurück. und wie es der zufall so will spielt die zahl 5 auch gleich eine große rolle bei unserem nächsten projekt - der -five years lost- compilation im zuge des 5-jährigen club-jubiläums, welches vom 02. bis 05.10. stattfinden wird. diese 3x12- compilation beinhaltet 12 facettenreiche tracks von bekannten und auch neuen produzenten aus dem ritter butzke umfeld. von deep- und tech-house, über minimal und techno bis hin zu disco und progressive ist hier alles vertreten, womit wir euch ein möglichst breites spektrum an elektronischer musik präsentieren wollen, welches so natürlich auch in unserem club, bei den unzähligen events in den vergangenen jahren, vorzufinden war und auch in zukunft weiterhin aus den pas unserer diversen floors schallen wird. leider wird es wohl den rahmen sprengen wenn wir hier auf jeden einzelnen track stilistisch eingehen würden - daher wollen wir jetzt nur kurz und bündig die einzelnen künstler der reihe nach vorstellen: mit dabei sind -crossfrontier- marc poppcke, -der freund des hauses- bela brandes, -dikso-boy- daniel solar, -die gute seele- don brazo, -das dynamische duo- mario aureo & manuel moreno, -die kühnen wölfe- kuriose naturale, -mr.vibe- patryk molinari, -freundentaumler- chris hanke, -plötzlich prinzessinnen- beddermann & dahlmann, -meister proper- putzlicht, -team exit- wasted ruffians und -chefkoch- andre schaaf. kurzum ein wahres potpourri an namen und musik, welches man nicht weiter durch worte aufwerten muss sondern einfach die musikalischen beiträge für sich sprechen lassen kann. wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir mit diesem groß-projekt ein weiteres stück wachsen und so in ein neues jahr mit noch mehr hochkarätigen veröffentlichungen starten.
