david august, produzent aus berlin mit italienischen wurzeln, gründet sein label 99chants und veröffentlicht mit dcxxxix a.c. eine 60-minütige kollektion aus 24 ambient-tracks, entstanden mit der zeit in den vergangenen jahren in berlin, auf island, über dem atlantik und in einer mediterranen kleinstadt. die aneinander gereihten tracks wirken wie ein einziger ausgiebiger atemzug, ein soundtrack für eine bislang unbekannte raumzeit. das album chant1 markiert den beginn einer serie, die mit chant 99 enden soll. schwarzes doppelvinyl in weißen innenhüllen im gatefold. limitierte auflage.
