audiojack had a great 2014 with a collaborative release alongside lcd soundsystems nancy whang, eps on defected, 2020vision and tsuba, and remixes of romanthony and hot since 82 surfacing, here we see the ever on-point duo open up 2015 with some fresh material for their very own gruuv label. since launching gruuv back in 2010 the pair have unleashed material from the likes of huxley, jimmy edgar, darius syrossian, copy paste soul, a1 bassline and phil weeks, testament to their broadly attentive a&r approach with the imprint. now a year deep into their relocation to ibiza, audiojack have left behind their former uk influenced sound palette, and instead embraced their surroundings to envelop new material with the stripped back style of electronic music their new home turf is known for.

the juan macleans second album will be their first with happy house vocalist and lcd soundystem touring member nancy whang as a full time collaborator. nick millhiser and alex frankel, both halves of the ny disco duo holy ghost! also helped out, as did!!! drummer jerry fuchs. fully realized and flawlessly executed from start to finish, the future will come stands poised to disarm millions of listeners.

marcus lambkin aka shit robot returns with his third full length album for dfa records, entitled what follows. the 11-track album was conceived and recorded at marcus’ home studio in a small town outside stuttgart, worked on in various new york studios and then mixed over the course of 11 intense & coffee-fuelled days in dfa label mate juan maclean’s new hampshire studio. the album follows lambkin’s previous long-players, from the cradle to the rave (2010) and we got a love (2014), which drew plaudits from the likes of the guardian and pitchfork, and featured reggie watts and james murphy among the array of contributors.

marcus lambkin, aka shit robot, is joined on this excellent debut full length by a list of notable contributors: james murphy co-wrote several tracks and mixed the album, while juan maclean, planningtorock, lcd soundsystems nancy whang, hot chips alexis taylor, house of houses saheer umar and ex-nation of ulysses and the make-ups ian svenonious all contribute vocals and co-writing to >from the cradles…< stellar arc of songs.
