get pissed is a french duo known in paris for their popular -wrecka spinazz club- and -belleville boogie- parties that included daniele baldelli, margie, boris from ostgut etc on the bills. they are signing here singular ruff mpc tracks for their debut ep that has an uncommon signature between jazz, techno and deep beatdown. laroye on flipside has been already in the broken beat game for a decade at least. you might remember his three eps on faces records including some kinetic space jazz remix from inverse cinematics better known today as mcde. the french producer now based in brighton delivers something special again, journeying through disco, jazz and those west london signature beats. mgbk001 is an ep of two halves. the a-side bumps with two very deep house jams, whilst the b-side sees a freestyle disco-jazz we call broken beats. music for the mind, body and universal soul!

stuttgarts motor city drum ensemble (aka danillo plessow aka inverse cinematics),presents a superb ep of deep house taking its cues from berlin and detroit. 2008 was a great year for motor city drum ensemble releasing parts one and two of the highly acclaimed raw cuts series which featured heavily in many best of 2008 house music charts. he finished the year with an excellent resident advisor podcast and a set at the resident advisor christmas party. his ‘get slapped up’ release on compost black and ‘breath control’ release on his own four roses label have been in the boxes of taste maker djs and seen him become an in demand producer. danillo is also a part of the inverse cinematics production team who have released on pulver, fuid ounce showcasing his more jazzy, broken beat production style. this debut 2020 release features three superb tracks that take their inspiration from the likes of theo parrish and carl craig as well as the deep house sound of berlin, yet retain the signature mcde sound.

ltd repress .. you are not supposed to know that, but the rumour mill is blowing in the wind: to know from hearsay famous dj rainer trueby teaming up with danilo from motor city drum ensemble (aka inverse cinematics) to launch the rainer trueby project. these tracks are more an edit thing, not supposed for official release. both edits are already circulating, and a very limited vinyl seems overdue. a tasty taster by those nice guys!

with his new alias motor city drum ensemble, danilo plessow returns to his house music roots. before he started to go more leftfield/broken beat ish with his inverse cinematics project, he was already heavily influenced by the likes of larry heard, chez damier, ur, moodymann, mike huckaby, labels like soul city, kms, prescription, harmonie park and deep deep house in general have always been a big part in his dj sets. the current four roses release has already been a favourite in many class a dj sets around the globe. combining the feeling of early 90s nugroove/balance tracks with the intensity of todays club music, this 12inch is a perfect, deep dancefloor tool. in the playlist of: ali warm, Âme, dixon, toby tobias, trusme…
