nice price deal !!! after ugur projects great success on subotnik, the ostwind guys presents another 2 track 10inch weapon from this sympatic turk based in istanbul. diren & gezi are two tracks made for the dj and the crowd. diren comes with his deep moving bass and nice minimalistic clicking heads which reminds us on the up to date mini tech sound. the hook of gezi speeks for itself, combined with a forward going groove, this track was made to rock! a great new spezi, without many rethoric, just to the point.

while sam barker & andreas baumecker are spending time on the road with their impressive hardware live set (during which they fuse tracks from their debut album *transsektoral* with new dancefloor burning material), some of their closest peers have been busy on their own re-workings, resulting in four tracks from their album in new, exciting flavours.

in 1986 steve earles new brand of country-rock music was taking nashville by storm. his debut album >guitar town< topped the billboard country album charts, as did the single with the same title.
influenced by bruce springsteen (who was earles eureka!) and townes van zandt (after whom he named his firstborn), this was one of the strongest & most confident debut albums released in the 80s.
he showed an angry literacy, a dark sense of humour & a street-smart snarl that was uncommon amongst his country counterparts and made him stand out amongst the crowd. but he was also ostracised because of his anti-vietnam stance & long hair.
