nice & nasty are pleased to announce the release of their 14th piece of vinyl, rob glennons night freaks remixed. in january 2009 rob glennon and nice & nasty released the night freaks ep and sonic adventure in detroit techno, breaks and chilled beats. soon after the two lead trax bass shifter and ratio got the remix treatment and released online to critical acclaim and now the choice mixes are available on vinyl for the first time accompanied by wonderful artwork from detroits berlin based artist alan oldham aka dj t-1000. bass shifter gets tweaked by dutch techno maestro orlando voorn (nightvision) and londons paul mac (stimulus) whilst the original of ratio appears alongside the devastating remix by dublins the parallel. already rob has gained chart support and playlists from dave clarke, ben simms, dave ellesmere, chymera, dave mothersole, surgeon, brian henderson, mark o sullivan, dj 3000, detroit grand pubahs, itokim and laurent garnier whilst other tunes from nice & nasty are in the set lists and charts of fabrice lig, russ gabriel, tomi chair, ignition technician, dj t1000, dan curtin, claude younge, derrick may, q-burns abstract message & richie hawtin.

in 2008 tr-one released urban promise ep on nice & nasty. from this ep tr-one further released remixes of their seminal dark techno cut >detroit after dark< and now mystery train has been remixed by ireland’s leading light of deep, moody techno lerosa and tycho’s comet aka neil maguire from uk. this is a perfect follow up to the inner thoughts ep

its ireland hottest techno label again and the goodies they ve got prime to spurt out of the old sac are pretty tumultuous. take this outing from heretics of disko, which is label boss desy palmers floating project which here sees him working with robbie dunne aka spectrum is green on a track which first appeared as part of the hold it down magazine compilation a couple of years ago. the two new mixes come courtesy of finlands lackluster bouncing around like richochet rabbit in a disused robot dump and japans yukio taking more of an electro route with percolating percussion to arrive at some engaging oddball alien funk. a diff kind of brotha is concrete soul collectives kenny black remixed by japans katsuhiko putting the female voice through a blender studded with clicks and efx plus leeds nasty bobby, who stretches the vocals savagely over chattering groove reminiscent of psychotic robo chipmunks confronted with david camerons knackers. maximum quality again.
