reponses brand new ep is a 2 track vinyl release. relatively still unknown, this is his 4th release on ingredients, with support coming from far and wide for his previously imparted work. this ep features those little tweaks and sounds that are undoubtedly a response signature, such as the simple kick snares or the trance-like mid section and harmonious vocals, but with that cardinal growl present throughout the ep, it is easy to distinguish this as response, a name that will continue to appear in record bags throughout the scene.

kinetic & mark recoil are 2 new guys that we wanted to introduce, their future classic >cold streets< has had heavy support from dbridge on his rinse fm shows & its murky atmospherics & sharp beats suit ingredients down to a tee.

anile has been as prolific as most in 2012 but we feel we have one of his best tracks to date. >extinction of kind< has the epic intro of old and an almighty drop, mesmerising stuff. while krakota has consistently delivered excellent releases in such a short career and >redirection< is yet another quality tune which further improves his push for stardom. we at ingredients continue our crusade for the best new talent and what we feel is their best music.

villem has quietly crept up on the d&b scene. the bristol based producer has had releases on ingredients, breaks symmetry & more recently on samurai recordings. his positive attitude to the dance floor comes through without the need to become too cliched. >spring back< is very original, with its use of the payback synth and jazz horns, but then switching to a big dance floor roll out. while >acouphenes< has a real funky rhythm and is a great break work out. this talented producer is in for a promising career.

sebastian krakota has quietly set about his mission to dnb greatness in a short space of time. he has already featured on critical’s ‘modulations’ series, cia and his massive “be myself” on our ‘recipe book lp’ in the summer made everyone take note. this is his first full solo 12” and what a belter it is. “scraper” is a superb dj tool, straight to the point with it’s high energy pads and killer bass drop. while “tunnel vision” is a lighter affair, with an uplifting vibe. both tracks are very current & shows how much this young dj has to offer already.

dub phizix is a fresh name for 2011. his unique style has won over many people including soul:r & creative source with whom he has 12 inches coming soon. his punchy production and clever arrangement impressed us at ingredients and these two tracks have been on heavy rotation for the last 6 months. >out there< is reminiscent of photeks drums and sounds, a great intro track. while >athos< is a brave tune, some future thinking drum & bass with its tribal rhythms.

mute & mako are a collective from bristol. having spent years working on their sound & building their own label utopia music, they have plenty of good tunes at the ready. >astral transmissions< is a throwback to fellowship late 90s era. a sublime track that takes you somewhere, lush and hypnotic. >lost sector< is a different flex, with dark pads, off-beat grooves & some oldskool ram trilogy style bass!
