eomac expands the roster of his recently inaugurated eotrax imprint with the introduction of two forerunners in berlin s techno scene: kaltès and nene h. both have built respected reputations as exciting artists to watch, as kaltès organizes tresor berlins female:pressure-affiliated party series and nene h. turned heads with her fountain of fire performance at berlin atonal festival. their collaborative record, the protest ep, presents a call to arms and an empowered take on gnarly techno with a stormy industrial underbelly.

eris harmonia is the new ep from acclaimed dublin-via-berlin duo lakker. it is an investigation of disparate styles and sounds reflecting different reactions and emotional responses to the current world climate of chaos and uncertainty. after finishing struggle & emerge lakker retreated to the studio to find fresh inspiration. in their words: we talked of needing a black space or empty white page in which to experiment with sound, genre and structure freely, without expectation and without time constraints or release deadlines.

the second release from producer eomac’s new dublin-based label eotrax comes from nomadic irish producer lair. this is an exciting step for the label, moving away from the dancefloor into more diverse, eclectic territory. lair is a producer far from the norm, especially for those releasing on an electronic music label. she classifies herself as a composer, producer, vocalist, artist, sound-healer and yoga teacher. with a diverse background that includes singing classical and traditional material shes expanded her artistic approach into a diverse web-like multi-disciplinarian approach in keeping with her nomadic life. currently she creates electronic music, contemporary classical music and healing music under a variety of alias including laura kilty and luminousounds (for healing music). she is also in the duo noeverything with eomac. in her words my lair music is how i see the world - this one and others channeled - expressed through layers of my vocals which i shape electronically. the music has elements of mysticism, sacred geometry, energy, sound with intention and just sounds i love formed to make music i love. i see music as i create it. i work with lots of layers - for me its like creating an aural representation of the image i see. these layers of sound can be found in her debut self-titled ep in the deep, ritualistic drones of invoke and meld on the a-side, and the more concise rhythmical patterns of searching in circles on the flip.

temple of the jaguar is the first release on eomacs new label eotrax. a single sided pressing with an exclusive b-side etching by artist sal stapleton. an 11 minute conceptual track that attempts to explore structure and narrative, texture and tone, taking techno as a starting point, but seeking to move beyond its conventions and expectations. conceived on a visit to teotihuacan near mexico city, inspired by both the cosmic and earthly power of the place, temple of the jaguar attempts to find a way back to the animalistic nature within us all. a reconnection to the dark, sensual part of us that has been repressed for centuries in a limiting and limited, fearbased, patriarchal society. a reconnection to the body.a reconnection to femininity.a reconnection to wildness. to intuition. to sexuality.to earth.to self acceptance.without fear, without shame.
