sold out on pre-sale 100 copies only. comes on blue transparent vinyl. mastered by helmut erler at dubplates & mastering, berlin. the next releases on eotrax will round off a busy 2018 for the label and set out an exciting proposition for a future way of working and releasing music. in what will be an ongoing, curated collaboration series artists will be invited to make work together for the label, without restrictions on genre, style or aesthetics. an open environment of collaboration and experimentation which will then be released by the label. to launch this series label head eomac teams up with four different artists over four slabs of vinyl, to be released sequentially over four months. the collaborations are improvised and composed, wild and emotive, unexpected and expected and all of them resulting in music that would never have been made by either artist individually. first up is a two-tracker from techno powerhouse and self confessed noisician paula temple and eomac. on the a-side the synth heavy gestirn takes inspiration from autechres classic eutow, driving forward with a broken beat while celestial melodic lines reach skyward to unknown realms. the b-side introduces a wilder beast, with the ferocious, pummeling techno of kralle

eomac is back in 2018 with a brand new album. after an intentionally quiet release schedule in 2017 to focus on developing a new label and presenting a monthly show on radar radio, he returns to the album format with the 11-track reconnect. it is his third studio album proper and the first on his burgeoning eotrax imprint. continuing where bedouin trax and temple of the jaguar left off, reconnect moves even further from the contemporary dancefloor and club environment and deep into uncharted territory. drawing influence from traditional irish music, haitian voodoo drumming, the raw old-school jungle of source direct and the abstract rhythms of autechre, eomac has crafted a dense, multi-layered and polyrhythmic exploration of percussion, texture and movement.

temple of the jaguar is the first release on eomacs new label eotrax. a single sided pressing with an exclusive b-side etching by artist sal stapleton. an 11 minute conceptual track that attempts to explore structure and narrative, texture and tone, taking techno as a starting point, but seeking to move beyond its conventions and expectations. conceived on a visit to teotihuacan near mexico city, inspired by both the cosmic and earthly power of the place, temple of the jaguar attempts to find a way back to the animalistic nature within us all. a reconnection to the dark, sensual part of us that has been repressed for centuries in a limiting and limited, fearbased, patriarchal society. a reconnection to the body.a reconnection to femininity.a reconnection to wildness. to intuition. to sexuality.to earth.to self acceptance.without fear, without shame.

following eomac’s debut album “spectre” on killekill, released earlier this year, here come remixes of the three most outstanding track sof the album. tommy four seven picked the title track spectre, taking away some of the dense texture of the original, speeding it up a bit and adding some straight-forward percussion to turn the original into a big anthem for the mellow moments on the dancefloor. lars stöwe aka anstam is using his anno stamm-alias to rip the distorted bassline of the grimey su riddim out and add some playful bassline variations and some serious 808 business to it to turn it into a peaktime banger with lots of chicago flavour. and do what they do best and turn shell of dark into a half-tempo stomper that after a while breaks up to a devastating weapon of distorted drums and melodies.

killekill is proud to present eomac’s “spectre”, the debut album from dublin-based producer ian mcdon- nell, a rising star in the techno scene. spectre also marks the label’s first full-length album release. ian is better-known as half of the irish duo lakker and this album is certainly carved from the same cold slab of stone. his music has already gained huge support from the likes of tommy four seven, ellen allien, thom yorke and the one and only aphex twin himself. bleepy, slo-mo synth lines, dense textures, saturated bassdrums and hand-sliced vocals dunked in cavern- ous reverb – spectre is all about eomac doing what he does best, taking our concepts of club sound and contorting them into something that is truly his own. the melodies are slo-mo and lo-fi, the pads, exquisitely lush and textured. ian’s amazing sound-design (bordering on the intense in some places) and incredible attention to detail makes this an album where each listen reveals a deeper layer. spatters of noise, shards of broken beat and relentlessly pounding techno rhythms also make it a dancefloor-decimating weapon.

russian producer sanys has impressed with a series of raw techno records on his downfall theory label - and his latest release further showcases his talents. dominance starts with atmospheric synth washes before a granular bass and relentless percussion propel it forward. like previous sanys releases however, this is not straightforward linear techno and a rumbling vocal and insistent drums will keep the listener engaged. my concern sees sanys opt for a different approach, with a pulsing bass and a crystalline synth line going up and down the scales, intertwined with a vocal snippet, while told you so features another stylistic shift. on this occasion, it s back to the darker sound that was audible on some of the earlier downfall theory releases. tight, snappy drums and robust, insistent claps provide the basis for a droning, murky bassline that cuts through the arrangement like a lighthouse rays in the dark of night. finally, irish producer eomac, one half of lakker, delivers a version of dominance that centres on lithe broken beats, ghostly melodies and insidious tonal shifts. as its title suggests, dominance shows sanys has become a master of the techno form.
