jack sparrow returns for pinchs tectonic, on mighty form and currently unassailable. 2010 sees the label delivering in company of the highest grade. carefully unpacking some considerable new studio scientifics, after last summers wonderful debut for the label >the chase / the fullest< (tec030). >terminal< is utter killer materials - your genuine anthem material we suspect.

tectonic debut for jack sparrow as this rising star shows a different side from his previous floor smashing rhythms for labels like contagious and earwax as he unleashes a deep, dark, tribal roller on one side of the plate and a more melodic deep house infused take on dubstep for the flip. quality dance music with a no compromise mentality. the chase begins with a dissonant chord - rising, evolving and building the tension slowly before energised hats come crashing in and build to the drop. in come raging subs and a tribal conga pattern which will have you skanking the moment you get over the sheer impact. this is a heavily weighted bassline and on the right system you will feel it pushing hard. jack sparrow really touches a sound that so far only the likes of mala and shackleton have managed to pull off sucessfully. flip then for fullest, featuring sparrows friend biggins alongside him on the buttons - a very different beast from the cold rolling a-side. fullest holds a more relaxed vibe, less tense and far more melodic, the galloping kick pattern rolls with smooth silky chords layering up in a deep house style. featured in the tectonic plates volume 2 (pinch mix cd), this is cool, breezy musical dubstep for the groovers.
