quartz rec is finally back after a year long break with the first release coming from the label boss himself : paul ritch. this four track ep of the finest crafted techno called * voyage* will set you on a real trip. fasten your seatbelt.
paul ritch is back on drumcode with his astounding new single brainwash. perfectly capturing the energetic, driving techno sound that paul is capable of, brainwash delivers something that really engrains into the memory and leaves the dancefloor filled with vitality. on the flip side, inside me is a heavily percussive rolling track that uses interesting synth hooks and stabs to create a rocking groove that creates vigour and depth that pauls techno represents.
paul ritch is no stranger to drumcode and has returned with an outstanding single featuring three tracks that will dominate dj sets. the first track >run baby run< entertains us with an arpeggiated chord sequence that is accompanied by percussion-like synth sounds before bursting into a thick-layered sequence of sound. the dark and dubby side of the single sees pauls > astral< bring a funky sleazed out groovy track that also uses a discerning melody.
much anticipated release of new paul ritch material included his hit asteroid featuring on his green & blue mix cd ( cocoon ) plus silver dust and space control who have been road tested for months by the quartz crew
paul ritch presents his new ep >secret garden< and celebrates 3 years of his own quartz rec. after 20 releases the label etablished itself as a leading force in the techno scene and this new 3 tracker will raise the bar even further.
2010 repress ! paul ritch and his quartz music label return with a very special treat! the first release on quartz was pauls own >split ep<. the response to the music on this ep was incredible. not only from specialists, but also from the public. how do you improve on the package? well, draft in one of the biggest names in world of techno to not only provide a remix, but take the two biggest tracks from the release, combine them, and remix the mutant off-spring. indeed! this is just what dubfire has done. taking >walk the line< and >split<, melting them together, and then reworking them to provide what will, from now, and forever more, be known as.... the >split the line - dubfire mega remix.< 2008 proved to be a wonderful year for dubfire. his releases and remixes filled the top spots in many end of year charts. no more than they deserved. his >dios< & >diablo< tracks alongside oiiver huntemann were instant smashes, and his remixes took him to a whole new level. radio slaves >grindhouse<, minologues >jamaica<, gregor treshers >a thousand nights< & booka shades >charlotte< all received the dubfire treatment, and all, went on to be smash hits. 2009 is set to be even bigger and better for everyone involved in this e.p.. is that possible? just watch this space!
quartz rec. family is looking forward to start the summer with a bang! here we present you a new series of collaborations between the artists of the label.

after the huge succes of the split ep on his own quartz rec imprint, paul ritch is reaching the next level with his brand new canniballs ep.this wicked release contains four exclusive tracks ranging from the deepness of >suffolk< to the stomping & rolling >the lick<. beware of the canniballs!

this two tracker for adam beyers drumcode imprint has all of his trademark production and vibe and packs an almighty punch with charactaristic twisted drums and enormous bass grooves. this is absolutely not to be missed.
get physical are pleased to welcome paul ritch, following the well-received >fortuna ep< (together with anthony collins) with his first solo-tracks. over the past year ritch has earned his stripes with solo releases on resopal schallware, minisketch and paradigma, and as one half of handycraft, whose le bal masque ep on kickboxer was a recent underground hit. ritch saves his best for physical, though, with two minimal house tracks of real energy and sophistication comprising this new 12inch. a master of slowburning intensity, ritchs begins >june< in understated fashion, but build after build, and the onset of busy, chattering percussion, sonar pings and ravey acid lines take things to a wholly different level. ritchs skill is in accumulating layer over layer of effects and then, in a magical instant, stripping things back to raw elements, some of the compressed, filtered breaks on >june< will cause serious dancefloor damage and delight
next strike on fumakilla, this time new shots produced by french artist paul ritch, well known for his stunning releases on labels like get physical, resopal, kickboxer and paradigma, just to name a few….paul definitly knows how to create deep and smooth atmospheres, without sob stuff….he has resources against boredom!!!! fluffy basslines and soundscapes, a wicked little synth chord and a reserved drumwork starts the main track called > back to time<. after a short and constructive break the principal theme restarts, with a striking sound selection and harmonious arrangements. call it mini-trance, call it tech-house, or even detroit-tech, call it whatever, it doesn t make any differences, the main thing is, the boys and girls all over the world will boogie with a smile on their faces, and deservedly so….trip down memory lane!!!!on the flip another tune called >vaticans bell<, and also another straight forward goin up groove monster with pretty great arrangements and awesome placed strings. paul ritch plays the first violin, he knows how to produce a timeless masterpiece, reduced but heavily effective monster tracks at the end, come, look and see… 10 points to berlin again!!
with two successful 12 releases on resopal schallware (samba ep, winter ceremony ep) the parisian producer paul ritch established himself in the techo scene, his records received great feedback and are played by richie hawtin, anja schneider and 2000 & one. he stopped by the labels get physical, mini sketch and kickboxer for releases in the meantime
the vibrant offshoot of davide squillaces skecth music architecture steps up onto the plate for a home run battering! the new cut comes with none other than paul ritch. he stepped into the limelight with a series of superb and very impressive releases on resopal and paradigma. in pursuit of labelboss squillace and the previous gem from the hand of marco shuttle - minisketch lifts spirits once again with some hi-tech futuristic grooves
the name paul ritch echoes around the world. his productions and live sets, charged with pure adrenaline and characterised by his powerful, harmonic, and deep techno, have made him the holder of a unique mark of sounds in which his passion and power transmit numerous memorable music moments.
after the release of their collaborative breed ep at the end of last summer, nicole moudaber and skin (from skunk anansie) have unveiled their highly anticipated remix package featuring a long list of respected producers. carl craig, fur coat, jamie jones, jerome sydenham, paco osuna, pan-pot and scuba, are just some of the names which have turned their hand to the project. originally born out of nicole and skin s desire to fuse their rock and techno backgrounds, this is a true collaboration project with a difference. the pair have also recently been sharing the stage at high-profile slots such as space ibiza and coachella. the first track on the second part see s don t talk to me i m dancin remixed by hot creation boss jamie jones, which features a thudding heavy bassline, and zebra katz vocals sampled over the top. the second track on the a side see s french emotive techno specialist paul ritch turns in an atmospheric, driving remix of these walls are made of water . first up on the b side is pan-pot s take on these walls are made of water , adding the duo s characteristic stomping touch, as well as dramatic new synth melodies. this remix is another nicole favourite, often featured in her sets and her in the mood radio shows. rounding off the b side jerome sydenham remixes don t talk to me i m dancin feat. zfk and takes the track into uptempo driving territory.
nice price action , only 22.99 €
but that the cocoon compilation l is all about love, is beyond debate: the love for electronic dance music, for its complexity and its diversity, the love for this global musical language and last not least the enthusiasm for the well-known and the still non-famous protagonists of this tonal romance that faithfully accompanies us through night and day for more than 30 years now.
