marco resmann returns to watergate after a productive stint at the red bull music studios in cape town with two stellar cuts featuring local heroes deep aztec and black soda. tack on a remix from the one and only oliver huntemann and another revision from resmann himself and you have the ‘babylon side ep. teaming up to kick things off, resmann, black soda and deep aztec embrace the cultural sounds of africas organic percussion and vocal prowess to create a tour de force tune perfectly balance between flashing club lights and vast open skies. following suit, ‘abadala sees marco again with deep aztec for a lush ride into deep emotional spaces by applying mesmerizing syncopated rhythms and spellbinding vocals ideal for deeper or more sentimental dance floor moments. up next is techno legend oliver huntemann who, playing after resmann earlier this year at the 15 years of watergate event at warung beach club in brazil enjoyed his set and the two hit it off, so logically he was asked to lend his trademark sound for a revision of ‘babylon side and he twists the original into a heavy techno belter complete with sinister sonics and fever inducing sirens. wrapping things up is marco resmann himself with his own take on ‘babylon sides and delivers a wild and twisted version of gargantuan low end and psychedelic shimmers of the original vocal resulting in a killer tune with a ton of attitude.

limited nice price action !!! a mere 9 years old, watergate has steadfastly become one of the worlds most prominent electronic music institutions. this is due in no small part to its heady combination of picturesque location - its dancefloors face directly out onto the river spree - a wall-to-wall led light installation and its impeccable music policy, with the cream of the electronic crop passing through its doors every week. the mix cd series, now in its tenth incarnation,is a further means for the club to stamp its seal onto the scene, with many of the clubs residents and regular talents having been invited to contribute.

marco resmann sent out a few remix invitations to selected producer-friends throughout the world last year. the idea was to remix one of his favorite tracks on upon you. the results are now in and will now be used to usher in the new musical year 2010.

since decadence in june 2010 and seven eps released this year, dame music is a continuous story of success and has established itself in the underground music scene. the triumph of bloody marys >arabesque< ep on national radios was a turning point for the label which has defined its musical identity, a modern genre of electronic music blended with a touch of rock, disco, classic or new wave influences. last hits sierra sams >queen of spade< ep and komatons >dehunt< ep are an excellent representation of the dame-music signature. the artwork of the label has also seen a significant evolution by the quality of its covers and teasers which fully fits with the music. to celebrate its first anniversary and give a first overview of the label imprint, dame-music is proud to present potluck, a special compilation of unreleased tracks, produced by five duos (one of the dame-musics artists, plus one of their friend). bloody mary got this concept to gather the dame-music family (mostly consisted by marys berlin based artists and friends) to work hand in hand with the music and artwork. they shared talent, creativity, emotions and ideas.

pan-pot’s debut longplayer pan-o-rama turns out to be the gift that just keeps on giving. first there was the lead single >charly>, backed by an infectious remix from lady mobilee herself, anja schneider. now they hand the baton to marco resmann and zander vt, who each perform their own magic on two more killer cuts from the album.
