our fourth release is a special collaboration of anthem creator and footwork label head jay lumen and the super talented roberto capuano (drumcode, truesoul), fusing their different tastes of techno. octaves ep” finds the perfect balance between banging and melodic techno. the melodic octaves” consists of vocal cuts and vigorous synths and chords while aquila” with it’s moog bass synth and breakdown theme is a true banger groove. absolute festival anthems!!

jay lumen needs no introduction as he has been important to the tech and techno scene for years now. after several releases on labels like drumcode, octopus, relief, suara, off etc. we are happy to have him back on noir music with this fantastic tech stomper our freedom that has a little bit of everything. the remixes comes from la fleur and traumer. both are among our favorite producers at the moment and we are happy to write that both did an excellent remix job making sure we got fantastic alternative versions here.

get ready for another techno bomb on footwork audio by label boss jay lumen!! for this second release jay has created two seriously massive peak time tunes. fusion has that dark and trippy energy by the mixture of the characteristic moog synth and 808 elements. while old machines having more of an old school feel with a deep dub techno basis. on top of that we welcome kaiserdisco to the footwork family. the chart ruling dj/producer duo consisting of patrick buck and frederic berger, created a genius remix with a less is more approach on old machines .

brstl returns with two house cuts from jay l, his second release for the label. started in 2011 as a means to highlight house and techno being produced in bristol, the label watched over by shanti celeste and idle hand’s chris farrell is now into double figures.show me on the a-side is a finely constructed piece of house music aimed at djs and dancers. anyone who saw jays recent boiler room debut will know his musical style, steeped in classic us house, soul and boogie but with a tastefully bumpy uk edge. the b-side blue age is a deeper cut living up to its title, all wistfull piano keys and a subdued bass line. this is jay l and brstl doing what they do best, sending vibes from bristol to the world.
