james curd aus chicago ist bereits seit den späten 90er-jahren als produzent aktiv, damals war er teil von den greenskeepers. seine dj-karriere begann sogar um einiges früher. als er anfing, war er 15 jahre jung. in letzter zeit sorgte er solo mit tracks für labels wie dfa oder smash hit music für furore. >open up your mind< ist ein großartiger house-track, der knietief im funk steht.
