neon is the theme for the summer and this is what its about! h.o.s.h. and malonda have already shown us on their last cooperation ep on diynamic what pop can sound like nowadays. it s fresh, its true and its impressively original. thats what no one is all about. same also goes for woohoo which is done in cooperation with diynamics sexy boys from norway ost & kjex. as a bonus the b side features dub versions of both tracks.

diynamic mainstay h.o.s.h. follows up his ep on poker flat by signing on with nycs young stranjjur imprint, whom he is been following since their first release. for this incredible single, h.o.s.h. teams up with one of stranjjurs most focused new artists, hearthug, for a single that could possibly be one of the summers biggest show-stoppers. if you are the type who enjoys your house music full of pumping bass, funky grooves and unforgettable spine-tingling break downs – technicolour is certainly for you.

h.o.s.h, aka holger behn, is something of a legend in the german house scene. an exceptional dj, prolific producer and crucial part of hamburgs hugely influential diynamic crew, h.o.s.h. has helped shape the contemporary house landscape like few others.ego, his latest 12inch release on poker flat recordings, demonstrates his absolute mastery of the dancefloor, a result of his vast experience behind the decks.

after his debut album connecting the dots at the end of 2010 and several remixes in 2011, h.o.s.h. finally returns to diynamic music with some fresh productions and a statement: life is music is life. thats the name of his upcoming, long awaited ep, showing new sides of his verified and openminded taste in music. h.o.s.h. presents us three astonishing original takes on vocal music, all featuring the soulfull singer malonda. the opener what do you want me to say? is an immediate hymn consisting of an emotive vocal supported by sexy percussions, an impulsive cowbell and a deep, pumping bass. totally focussing on getting people to move. this one will stick right into your head. on the a2 h.o.s.h. again introduces a straight groove but this time he combines it with repetitive vocals, hypnotic synth-sounds building up tension and even some slight strings. hidden pleasures is an instant viber. the finisher high! is slow and a true groover with a gripping bassline, drifting melodies and a vocal singing a short story about those special moments on the floor that we all know. in the end h.o.s.h. has managed to re-introduce himself without even focussing on this.

diynamic and h.o.s.h. are back with an exciting and fresh release! cash the chord which also is the pre-released single from h.o.s.h.s album debut connecting the dots (out in october) is a warm piece of future funk house music that doesnt want to be pressed in further explanation by words. just feel it baby! along with it come three colourful remixes that transport the original in other directions. where as audiojack and ntfo clearly have the floor in mind you will find a totally different more experimental approach by 360 (nuno dos santos and patrice bäumel). once again h.o.s.h. and diynamic deliver pure!

after several remixes and longtime waiting our artist h.o.s.h. releases his next own ep. and he is back with a real banger! >the valve< sounds connected to steppenwolf, but feels more like a coninue: more modern, more pushing and more groove. like hell! a balkan- flute plays sometimes, but very harmonic to the track. heebie-jeebie! >super sick bowl< is a fantastic groove, too, but a bit more housy like classic recordings. awesome, never boring housebeat spiced with two cool and sick breaks. this loop could run forever. single words work perfect with the beat and provide a stimulating sexappeal. under a fig tree starts more technoid with the sound, but has still a groovy house for 3 minutes til the break - and out of this break a new sound is evolving. on the one this track continues with a warm bass hook, leaving the technoid sounds behind. what a twist! just beautyfull! thanx hosh

these hand-picked tracks are now available on a dj-friendly 2-sided-4-tracks-vinyl-ep and let me tell you, they are well worth the extra investment. the first of the bunch starts off with big man lexys fancy girl, an ever-growing minimal techy peak-time-pusher with a hushed vocal-sample, some anaologue signal sounds and a futuristic and pumping beat. add a great distorted melody to this on the breakdown and the dancefloor will thank you for putting this on: they will go mental! after this introduction, its the newcomers mickey monzza & joseph discos turn with their equally stimulating track lonely. this is a great modern piece of pumping dub techno with a straight-forward attitude. the hi-hats on this tune are mesmerezing, the clappy snares and sirens perfectly placed and the subtle dubby and groovy melody an ideal antithesis to this hectically moving tune. simply nice! but hold on, there is more to come. on the flip there is hamburgs house impressario h.o.s.h. with his track ben johnson and whether this title is a reference to the legendary sportsman or not, its a pretty record-worthy track: wonderful little stabs and vocal sounds and a bassline so warm and groovy it makes your heart melt. then when the breakdown hits you with its long and winding signal sound, the dancefloor will already be bathing in a floor filled with sweet happiness. this is truely delicious! the two newcomers and residents at hive club in zurich animaltrainer have the honour to finish off this ep with their oily tech-house-anthem talkshow, a superb main-floor-peak-time-melody-affair.

the massive anthem >steppenwolf< in two new exciting versions of anja schneider and jerome sydenham. as the label head of mobilee, anja schneider set new standarts to the minimal-culture and for that she didnt have to wait for success. on the other side you will find jerome sydenham or mr. ibadan. after many years and a lot of releases, his label ibadan records is the most innovative and popluar house label in the moment. so buckle up and have fun!

producer holger behn aka h.o.s.h. is back on stil vor talent with his third release and second 12 inch on oliver koletzkis imprint. his latest two tracks are all about house music, while always keeping a strict eye on the dancefloor. it starts with the tech-house anthem >grünanlage<, the name of a sunday afternoon open air in h.o.s.h.s hometown hamburg that he co-organises. the tune features a great clappy snare and some wonderful balearic guitar melodies, which swing over the fast loop. this tune is going to put a smile on your face wherever you are. on the flip there is >blaupause<, which translates as blueprint and is a dreamy housy pusher that keeps grooving with its synthie-stabs and warm bassline. later in the track h.o.s.h. adds an oldschool piano that pushes the track into another state with its drifting melody. it reminds us of so very many great rave moments. however, h.o.s.h. never gives in to the temptation of drifting off into cheese, stays cool at any given moment and keeps the seal of quality for his music very high. >blaupause< is a wonderful summery teaser that never explodes, but keeps imploding! h.o.s.h. once again does what he does best: delivering two wonderfully melodic tracks that fluctuate perfectly between house and techno. just the way we like it
