nice price deal !!! for many years, musicians from the southern hemisphere have brought diversity to the electronic scene through their music and labels - sei es drum, cadenza and ruta 5 are testament to this. many of the first generation of chilean electronic musicians had to leave in exile for the old continent – mixing their heritage with europes culture to great success. from the mid-90s until today, this nexus has maintained an effervescent creative energy in chile. currently, the second generation of chilean producers - influenced by villalobos, luciano and dandy jack among other greats - are following in the footsteps of their predecessors and showing their countrys sound around the world in meccas of techno and house like fabric london, panorama bar, amensia, rex, concrete, montreux jazz festival and resolute nyc. we now arrive at drummas 17th vinyl release where we bring together three producers from the new blood: luis ordenes aka umho, felipe venegas and alejandro vivanco.

electronic music has always had a special affiliation with space, and the sounds of the cosmos. an inherent love of all things sci-fi, galactic and otherworldy has always been a common thread, especially with techno producers, and so its always a pleasure to come into greater contact with the science of these sounds when creating new music. project alma is a new collaboration between lucianos cadenza records label and the alma sounds initiative that bridges two sets of individual passions, that of lucianos love for music, and alma astronomer antonio hales love of the universe.

dani casarano & felipe valenzuelas melisma imprint returns with opaco. the original mix by felipe venegas is very distinct with its wide open and subtle pads, which together with the floating groove sum up to a very relaxed and still demanding atmosphere. birdsmakingmachine in their remix shrink this up a bit in favour of a perpetual jack - -bmminimal- style so to say.

back again we have the mediterranean flavor of the friends affkt and alberto sola. always experimenting with different ingredients like the cooker ferran adria, the guys who laid the first stone of the legendary label barraca, now present a hybrid of pop and house which will leave no one indifferent. ‘pobla loves you’ was born with the tuba of alberto cuartero, orchestra director of hoya gonzalo in albacete. marc and alberto (affkt and sola) wanted to have a typical instrument of a band and merged it with the electronic dance scene, always being faithful to his maxim of making music to dance as well as to listen. if we surround valencia, road to pobla de farnals, we passed through la canada. there are los updates, who upon hearing the organic rhythm of pobla and the work with the wind instruments, set to work with the voices. perfectly adapted to the capital of the turia river, jorge and loreto propose a valencian poem that their children have learned at school. the moon of valencia then join our dinner for four. finally, we add to our paella a bit of percussion and keyboards made in affkt, to get a main course and obtain a typical valencian plate but by adding a little chilean salt becomes international. more oriented to the dance floor, there are three rather different remixes. new union between spain and chile, with danny fiddo and felipe venegas. this couple present an elegant and deep remix with drums and vocals perfectly adapted to the current sound. moreover, the french man darlyn vlys re-interpreted >pobla loves you< with a lot of groove and percussion added. finally, affkt gives his funker version of events to complete a job that will come out by the german label international freakshow
