this time around we will be celebrating the third release on arpa records from label owner dj sodeyama entitled >life<. this release sees the ever enterprising dj return to his roots with an uplifting house track with a deep rooted acid bass and a booty shaking groove that can explode on any dance floor. for the remixes arpa records have been lucky enough to invite the talents of the one and only radioslave who has provided the lucky listeners with over 12 minutes of pure unadulterated minimal bash

not long after his >miles (inc. nick curly remix)< release, dj sodeyamas follow up on arpa records is about to hit the shelves. on a deeper tip, dj sodeyama will exhibit his range as one for tokyos premier electronic music artists by releasing the >abyss< also on arpa records. to showcase the talent from both home and abroad dj sodeyama has picked out some of the most exciting artists within the electronic music scene today in glimpse (coccon / cadenza / crosstown rebels) and tokyos very own ryo murakami (poker flat). dropping some real bottom heavy beats alongside some rhythmic percussion the >abyss< release will prove to be a future classic.

early support from locodice, matthias tanzmann, gregor tresher, dubfire, nic fanciulli! new japanese dance music label, arpa records is launching as its first release very own label boss dj sodeyamas techno track >miles<. previously having released on respected labels zenit, ante zenit and more recently on labels archipel, kumo, we are, dj sodeyamas tracks feature a wide range of musical dimensions and have gained much credibility and interest from djs worldwide. the original mix features ontop of some heavy minimal beats and an expanding rhythm, a poetry reading by richard spitzer and a deep but solid synth groove. 8bit and cecille label boss nick curly takes the other side into a trade mark remix featuring some long breaks but kept together by some solid groovy rhythms throughout.

seattle/san francisco based techno label, from 0-1, drops a smashing mini-compilation for their debut vinyl release just in time for the dog days of summer. headlining this effort is >hethradia<, the very first collaboration between techno veteran bryan zentz and somas golden boy, lets go outside. >hethradia< is a sparse, heady effort set atop a sine wave-engorged bassline rivaling californias biggest swells. acid drenched bells and synths chime in from another dimension to round off an effort that stands to be emblematic of both producers more adventurous workings.

highly succesful imprimt kumo is about to enlarge its scale of high quality music, this time with japanese long time and inside japan well known dj sodeyama together with a remix from mr. glimpse whos name is surely not unkown. this release is a perfect mixture of superb minimal techno (original) and slightly moody relaxed housy tunes (remix).
