clio has joined truesoul with some superb electronic tracks that are techy and filled with funk.
each track has its own personality, using catchy vocal hooks, synth lines that engrain into your brain and tough chunky drums that keep the rhythm flowing. this ep is one that will take any dance floor to the next level.

after a two year gap clio is back on metroline limited after producing two of the most successful releases from the labels extensive catalogue: for sure baby (2010) and do it ep (2012). in the opening track, the beautiful forces, blade runner soundscapes morph into post-rave stabs and combine with heavy subs and sci-fi effects to create the soundtrack to a rave in an abandoned space station.

music is about stories. some of those stories can be meaningful and still be fun.
after spending the last few years painting in train yards across france and europe, clio now focuses on music. he describes his own productions as fun while at the same time signifying deep meaning.
while clios heart is in techno music, he also credits hip hop, jazz, dance, dub as important influences to him when younger.

the latest release on metroline takes no prisoners. clio brings it big. every track on this ep is loaded, primed and ready to fire. lead track poem does big the george clinton way. basslines cranked to funk, tempo raised, and drum tracks set to attack. sinister and sparse percussion gives do it an entirely different feel. but under the tune’s brooding atmospherics is an equally powerful rhythm. fired by a growling sub-bass that whoomps out of the speaker like a sonic weapon. killer. speaker-busting bass and pumping kicks are the order of the day on the flip. carlo lio’s remix of do it thunders along. built for dancefloor shock and awe, this track’s built like a tank - unstoppable and ready for combat. the massively in-demand sasch bbc and casper go intergalactic on their rework of poem. this is the tune that plays in hal 9000s head. epic, deep and serious, with a healthy dose of paranoia. careful this one doesnt tear a hole in your space station.

clone classic cuts serves another cult italo disco classic! gorgeous female vocals slapped on that lovely 80 s synthesizer/drum programming. this is one of those releases that easily makes it into the top 50 of all time greatest italo disco songs. produced by roberto ferrante (also known for his pinneaples project) and originally released on the obscure airport label in 1984. we managed to restore and re-master the original versions and the lovely paris mix. on top of the original versions we serve you a new re-rub by italian italo specialist bottin (eskimo, artifacts etc). bottin did a great job with a new crazy soundhack mix that cranks up the energy level and makes it more jackin. pretty amazing when you realize that these tracks are making people dance for 28 years now. more then enough reason for a proper re-release on high quality vinyl. enjoy!

summer season just started and we’re kickin’ it off with a pack of quality cuts brought to you by flashmob, danny serrano, clio, spencer k and collective machine: it sounds as good as it is. flashmob’s „year 1993“ is a deep organ tech tool that takes over big and small rooms alike, just made for peak time hours. danny returns with slate, a laidback track that hooks with tight snares and a locked groove. next up are spencer k and collective machine who joined forces for this release and we hope they’re up to repeat it, since that’s all where doing with “sonic attitude“ and “hit that way(digital only)“. clio completes the package and brings us some good summer vibes with “i need you“, need anything else?
