echoes of paradise is the first collaboration ep on lmd. it sees long time lmd affiliate mikael stavöstrand team up with lmd s very own shaun soomro to create something truly special. the ep was a long time in the making with full use of their studios and no holds barred. street code symphony (w10) opens the ep and is dedicated to the w10 area of london namely ladbroke grove, it s past and present musical institutions - dub vendor, honest jon s, notting hill carnival. paradise lost is a open thought, is paradise a place or is it in our imagination.

mikael stavöstrand (lick my deck, clink, highgrade) spent a few days in berlin recently, so why not get him over to the we are hq and work on some tracks with agaric, right? the boys first track is a deeper bass driven techno track interchanging grooves and eerie strings and percussion arrangements whereas the flipside on this limited 10 inch goes more funky and presents a surprising vocal bit where vealchop out of los angeles asks himself why certain things went the way they did! already tried and tested to excited crowds in clubs like 1001 london, rex paris and tresor berlin...

mikael stavöstrand and cesare vs disorder are not new names to techno or house, and between them they have an impressive discography of over 40 releases that have consistently maintained their underground integrity, winning over the hearts of the electronic music elite. there is no doubt why the bulk of their supporters seem to be the most esteemed listeners, and when we see their names together we have no choice but to be compelled to listen. after making their collaborative debut with part 1 on dumb unit in january 2011, the pair comes clean with a follow up ep on clink that is earthy, sexy and elegant.

mikael the skull stavöstrand is one of the better known artists in the swedish techno scene. deconstructed sounds, experimental tones and minimal changes are the base of his comprehensive works

following on from the success of the waiting for so long ep mikael once again delivers some of his most seminal work to date.

in mos ferrys eyes mikael stavostrands no turning back(mfp024) release at the end of 2006 still marks a highlight of his minimal techno period - and this is not only because of big bullys unmistakable vocals. now, none other than daniel sanchez (mumbling yeah) takes up the subject once again and with his no turning back remix he picks up where the krause duo started tastefully back then. daniels 12 minutes remix relies totally on an energetic rolling groove and puts the vocals always precisely when others would think it cant get more driving. the second remix was made by mikael stavostrand himself and is a straight and spatial welldesigned dj tool. for his own re-interpretation big bully got reinforcement through the argentinean odnu and heads more towards dub techno. these are three very succeeded remixes, which awake the desire to listen one more time to the original (despite the title)
