for dudi003, we got back right back to the beginning of dub disco. those who remember the very first track on the dudi001, los wawis - no se in the aussteiger remix, will also remember the mind-bending and psychedelic synthesizer chords, dominating the tune. this fertile combination is now back, orchestrated by thorsten lee broda, the synth wizard of neukölln and aussteiger.

dudi004 is this wonderful 9 track record (4 remixes + 5 originals) by aporia. the singer with the angel-like voice and the marvelous synthesizer melodies from new zealand. lean back and dive into wonderland. these tracks are smooth like baby skin. trippy synths and balearic gentleness or as aporia describes it supernatural, synthetic, tropical rock n roll. furthermore, we include 4 fantastique remixes by lits801, aussteiger, cosmic palms and s&w.

shortly after aussteiger s successful debut on dub disco we knew exactly that we wanted our long time friends s&w on board for our second release. these guys have been a huge influence on us for a long time now. first we fell in love with their eclectic and powerful dj sets and when we heard the demos of these hardware nerds we were truly blown away. when we asked them to produce our second release they handcrafted this ep full of lovely analogue sounds for us. it surely stands in contrast to the first record and by that underlines exactly what dub disco is about: a journey through the vastness of electronic music.

all good things take time, aussteiger said once. and indeed, it took a serious amount of time to get everything set for what soon will be known as dub disco s first release! we’ve been digging deep inside his tune collection. not only to make sure that the first three-tracker is a belter, but that it also showcases exactly the kind of musical approach we wanted as our personal imprint: to hell with a boring and homogeneous release that only represents one genre! we were looking for something that stands for itself, something that tells a story, something that is representative for what the artist stands for in a musical sense. and after a tedious quest, we carefully curated something we think is dope! kicking off the number one is a track disclosing the joint forces of berlin-based collective of musicians los wawis and aussteiger s capabilities as a remixer. here appears a psychedelic version of the track, which is carried by gentle guitars, a dubby bassline as well as the funky-trippy synthesizers that usher a tropical vibe onto the dancefloors. the starter on the flip is entitled “heimat” and comes around as a melancholic interpretation of aussteiger’s time in exile, a period that enabled him to craft his very own style. there is not much to say about this bomb that the ear doesn t catch instantly: this one is an honest earworm, with it s irresistibly arranged horns and a pervasive and driving bassline. to finish everything off, we went for a nasty banger, that carefully blends different aspects of the raving side of dance music. the electrifying broken beat and it’s haunting bassline are blended with an intense influence of acid.
