goldfrapp veroeffentlicht ihr neues album bei mute. >tales of us<, das nunmehr sechste album der band, wurde von alison goldfrapp und will gregory geschrieben und produziert und in ihrem studio auf dem land in westengland aufgenommen. ganze zwei jahre dauerte die arbeit an diesem geradezu schwelgerischen werk - es ist das bis dato erzählerischste, kinematografischste und intimste album von goldfrapp. man kann zu recht behaupten, dass keines ihrer vorhergehenden alben die lyrische weite vorwegnahm, die ihr jüngstes werk besitzt. fast ausnahmslos alle stücke sprechen in der 1. person bewegende charakterbilder und reflexionen über abseitige liebesaffären, ungewissheiten, halluzinationen, maerchen und moderne moritaten, aber auch momente von erlösung, geronnen in songs, in poesie, die goldfrapps musik an einen bislang unbetretenen ort fuehren.
