flux003 lands spring 2018, 180gram limited edition vinyl (no digital) with cover artwork from laura zhang. straight out of coastal bordeaux, laroze is back on flux with another collection of floor-focussed cuts. joining him on remix duties this time is fellow frenchman kosme, who s been making waves with his residency at lyon s esteemed le sucre club alongside the likes of agoria and laurent garnier. following on from flux002, larozes style is typically packed with energy and verve, using the classic us house framework as a launch-pad to bring his sound to contemporary dance-floors across europe.

after recently inaugurating the label with shedbug s well-received afterglow ep, flux records are back with their second release. following suit, flux002 includes three original tracks from burgeoning french talent laroze, supplied with a sweet remix from detroit s one and only andres. with its fair share of dance floor heaters the loin des yeux ep exudes an effortless 90s revival feel to it, drawing upon classic us house and acid as the basis for its form and style.

adding and connecting the bits, dots, hats and kicks once again, rtct.records invite two italians to join forces for a shared ep. it features three tracks per artist and it s got everything from ambient over lo-fi house, acid, techno and even garage. both of the artists have been making music under different names for a long time now but this release marks the launch of their new monikers: introducing dj chupacabra from the mountainous north of italy and crisco from mediterranean sicily. this is where the surf & turf theme of the ep comes into play. with this release rtct.records are taking a step forward and broaden their output after the well acclaimed deep house/disco tinged releases by leo woelfel, demuja and laroze. artwork by gus nobel.

having turned heads with shedbug and laroze already, flux expands its modest operations to include a new white sublabel that kicks off in fine style with d b. -subtleties- is a gorgeous minimal house jam shaped out by snaking rhythms and amorphous ambient tones - the consummate spirit animal for your dancefloor trip-out needs. -synergi- has a more typical shuffle, but it s no slouch in the head-melting psychedelic tone department. -splash- completes the package with a swerve into more explicitly broken beat territory, using a similar sound palette but placing the emphasis on tricky programming to create a divine slice of electronica for the more rhythmically adventurous heads out there.
