limited 100 vinyl pressure on this one from an undisclosed european producer who has been responsible for more than a few choice cuts over his 25 years of releasing records. burning up lights the dance floor by squeezing every last drop of energy out of just a few key elements, a modulating pulsing cross-rhythm bass snakes around driving disco beats with choice vocal samples adding the final bit of ear candy. minimal, a bit twisted, but hooky as hell. on the flip we have becoming cyclonic, a far deeper excursion where 808 toms dance around a repeating fretless bass melody. an immersive and euphoric melding of drum machines, synths and 12bit jazz-fusion samples, all being put through the sonic mincer and coming out like the proverbial gourmet sausage. yum!

continuing on from the massive kon 12 inch released on basic fingers we welcome back our good friend kok. on the a side koko delivers a real uplifting feel-good disco/boogie scorcher that will make you wish for those hot summer parties. stay with me by norman connors is perhaps not his most known track but we will guarantee this bad boy will be the prime time number for many djs as koko really takes this track to another level. soulfulness at its very best! on the b-side burning up by imagination has, since its release almost 30 years ago ripped up dancefloors all over with its piano chord hook and a steady bassline. this mix is an updated version with lots more production details and plenty of koko flavour. its already been tried and tested in the basic finger kitchen with an exceptional result.

(aka rob tabor) deliver two tracks of tuff rolling beats, nice pads, sweeps and stabs with great fx and underlying snare rolls. call it tech/funky big room house,whatever, its job done. rob has been djing for 7 years and currently takes up regular spots at turnmills, pacha london and the egg amongst other venues. influences range from the classic sounds of sasha and digweed to the fresh sounds of mike monday, mark knight and nic fanciulli amongst others
