deep breath records strikes again with it s fourth release. this time the music comes from the spanish duo 11.off. the ep also comes with two big remixes from djf (prayers for the long life, ahd) and bandada (illegal alien, phase insane, spark musik, true type tracks). this ep is a mix of techno and tech-house with deep touches which makes it all vey complete.

after a couple of essential releases under the pseudonym “epiphany” in labels such as ahd or semantica, damian schwartz is back with his second full length album. an incredible piece of work highly influenced by detroit and ny’s house and techno sound.

devoted to the art of movement is the first record from nss (no spiritual surrender) a duo formed by j.c. (ahd co-owner together with damian schwartz) and kastil this e.p. centers it s attention towards electro, but continue ahds heritage of giving a twist to those 90s sounds that influenced us so much, from early idm to detroit, all is present here. the opening track is the one that gives the ep it s name, an acid stomper build around an electro beat that builds up and down fiercely. the track maintains its tension throughout its whole length by building strings and arpeggios over its acid sequence, never transferring its beat to a straight kick, capturing the attention since its first second. proposed playground is build around a more steady electro beat, strings and sounds merge themselves around the beat to create a beautifully hypnotic piece where where some background melodies tickle our ears bringing memories from idm golden years. zero one is closing track, without leaving the electro rhythms the defined the whole ep the track is build around a phrenetic synth sequence that sets the path for the whole length, rhythms are rough and strong and its syncopated hitting adds emphasis on that frenzy atmosphere since its first second till the last.

label boss jose cabrera aka j.c. comes up with his first ep on ahd after having released in labels such as soul people music. expect rawness, deep pads and analog synths and arpeggios. keith worthy, aesthetic audios label boss is on the remix duties delivering a very unique and original version.

i came across j.cs music through the argentine label greener records on which he released the m-theory ep in early 2013. to this day, this 12inch has not left our record bag! i really like how j.c naturally blends a house feeling and groove with a techno vibe. in 2012, j.c started the ahd label together with his friend damian schwartz, releasing records from the likes of fred p, dj f, marcos cabral and epiphany. he also recently released a split ep with new york producer fred p on soul people music, as well as set the first release of his own label j.c records, which came out last month. i am very pleased to release his new record on deeply rooted.

the 5th installment from ahd brings back one of the label bosses, madrids epiphany aka damian schwartz. keeping consistent with the previous and first release of the label. the formula for this new gem remains an uncompromising raw substance, innovation, and timeless music. beautiful strings, pads, arpeggios and metalic basslines are all over the place on this release that follows up fred ps anthem, reach.

new yorks borned and raised fred peterkin needs no introduction to the electronic music, world. having released on labels like underground quality, strength music, mule electronic and his own soul people music, ahd welcomes him after being fans of his music for years already and this ep is no exception to his extreme and unique quality. *reach* on the a side is a total dancefloor burner. one of the best tracks we have heard lately. keeps building from start to the end, having the peaking point when the arpeggio comes up fading in at the middle of the track. b side, *in the blue*, is the deep cut of the record and its a perfect example of freds dubby and warm feeling. check it out

epiphany is damian schwartzs new moniker, created to give home to his most twisted and raw stuff. the first release in this new ahd imprint is all about raw, dirty and spiritual sounds. created and mixed on the analog domain and recorded to 1/4 inch tape, a ghost of myself could be considered as a mix of schwartzs biggest influences, from 90s ny house to detroit techno and chicago sounds, all processed through damians own style, resulting on a dope release based around strong rhythms, mystic sounds and rough yet fine progressions
