timbuktu sees long-time associates ferrer and sydenham going out with some techy house flavors on ibadan, with a solid groove joined by a sublime synth stab and some great chant snippets, while a driving bassline and great percussion elements fatten out the track nicely. timeless tracks 4 sure !! special backstock !!!

thumping house gear from ferrer and sydenham on this 10inch release on ibadan. behind a booming bassline and a little french kiss synth influence as well, double penetration is perfect for that late night floor action, with a little progressive feel in the sweeping synth lines setting it off just right. both mixes glide effortlessly along - in fact if you get 2 copies and play both sides one after the other, the results would be outstanding!

ferrer and sydenham having been knocking out some superb stuff on the ibadan label recently, and sandcastles doesnt break the streak, with its sublime piano line coming into its own late in the mix after a lengthy lead in of subtle percussion, throbbing kickdrum and stellar synth play. a warm and lush track, the cut builds through the beats, to the piano line and finally to vocal refrain and a wall of synth strings that round this track off perfectly.
