aos’ boundless love for music is apparent in everything she does. as a producer, a dj, and an event organizer with seattle’s secondnature and tuf collectives, kayla waldorf’s vision eschews traditional categories and genre boxes in favor of an ecstatic spontaneity. her dj sets are well known for their playful energy and narrative threading between many different styles. violent light is aos’ first offering on secondnature’s own label, and it captures this playful essence. the title track’s stomping groove (complete with rave whistle) sets the tone, while lullaby and what/why move into headier territory composed of dusty synths stabs and clouds of vocal effects. finally, secondnature’s own fugal delivers a remix that flips what/why into a rolling depth charge.

Über 200 radio-djs aus aller herren länder sorgen für underground-dance-vibes, zusätzlich wird das programm regelmässig durch prominente gäste bereichert. der april 2018 gehörte dem britischen electronic-duo autechre, das an vier donnerstagen vier livesets mit komplett neuem material mit einer gesamtdauer von acht(!) stunden bestritt. dieses wird nun in form von deluxe-tonträgerformaten erhältlich, die alle auf ihre erstauflage limitiert bleiben werden. dreifaches 12 inch vinyl in bedruckten innentaschen in extra breitem cover-sleeve, inklusive download-code.

radioactive man: -dub has always been a major influence in my music, mainly roots a la king tubby, marley, lee scratch, king jammy etc. i used to religiously tune into the manasseh show on kiss fm on saturday nights after coldcut, that introduced me to the massive amount of roots reggae and dub that was made in the 70s. i always loved the fact there was two versions, a vocal and a dub, which was always played in that order... the original remix music i guess...
