mystic analogue rhythms and vintage sounds

the young nordic label is back at it with a sturdy 12” vinyl release, produced by the helsinki underground electronic music champion poly sone. the three tracker kicks off with an intro track titled “come find me” which combines stripped down rhythm patterns with a subtle choir pad. on top of the foundation, an entrancing spoken word verse works as the main ingredient throughout the track. as the needle pushes onwards to the title track “echolocate”, the listener is confronted with a robust wall of lowend, soon accompanied by rolling percussions and clever use of reverb and delay. the simple composition highlights its sterling production and makes for a highly useful dancefloor tool. the last track “helix” bundles up the record nicely as the most melodic one of the bunch. the agile synth stabs and dystopic pads operate on a surprisingly groovy soil of bass and drums which add up to a dreamy whole.

the first vinyl version of the upcoming cd album with some magical works of unit moebius. this first 12inch contains some of their hottest tracks including the legendary >world goes around<, an evil cover of a classic chicagohouse track by cool mccool. the flip side contains the more deeper side from their first releases. for those who were there in those years 91/92/93, at the famous parties in the hague and rotterdam, this is a walk down memory lane, for those to young or living in other parts of the world... imagine these tracks in a dark, very dark sweaty basement with only strobe light and smoke machines, camouflage nets, and jacking acid and techno sounds for more then 10 ours. djs such as i-f, serge, schmerzlabor, peter ptau ptau and live acts such as unit moebius played the hottest and freshest music all night long until you lost your sense of time and place and ended in a total mind trip. the pure essence of house and techno! the golden years :-)

phantasy is proud to welcome klaxons to the family with this exclusive vinyl only release. remixed by chemical brother and original producer of the title track from the forthcoming klaxons album love frequency, tom rowlands returns to phantasy after the huge 2013 double a sided single through me / nothing but pleasure. on the flip side, erol alkan (also a producer on the album) brings down the tempo and ups the dub on his mild pitch mix.
