alec falconer is a new artist we are currently working with here at entity and we are really excited to present to you his first solo release with entity 005. alec is part of the nixwax crew along with rob amboule + harry wills who features on the funky remix of our 005 release.

fantastic edits of a ukg classic! entity : london present one of their all-time favourite garage tracks with new mixes, one more on a minimal meets ukg vein while the flip is more of a 2-step version... already getting the attention of four tet! all proceeds from the pressing of this record will go to grenfell charities. -it s been one year since the fire at grenfell and our hearts and thoughts continue to be with the residents, bereaved and the latimer road and ladbroke grove community. growing up a stones throw from grenfell tower, spending most of my years in and around the area and seeing close friends and their families seriously affected by such a travesty, it s only right that i try to use the platform that we have to raise awareness and pay respect. hopefully, eventually, we can get close to justice. in honour, we have one of our all-time favourite uk garage tracks - one that really strikes a chord with many who have lived the true london life - re-interpreted by our friend from russia, lost-act.-

following our 004 ep we present our first va release with northsouth records bossman and all round don henry hyde (aka harry mccanna) kicking things off. still talking epitomises the forward-thinking sound that is currently coming out of london - a perfect example of our ethos and aesthetic at the label. a tried and tested bomb that will do serious damage on any dance floor.

after a short break we return through mishel a, our young gun from russia, stepping up to take the reins for entity 004 with groove and swing. long standing friend of the label and all-round groove machine levi verspeek takes things to the next level with his remix of shake.

003 is en route and third time is definitely a charm for the entity crew. monika ross heads this resident’s ep with a combo purely for the dance-floor - ever after receiving some wonderful remix treatment from dutch maestro julian alexander to cap off round 3 for the london label.

following up the entity crew’s first release comes another residents ep, with two tracks from shai spooner + jordan dessar and a stellar remix from mannheim’s finest, fabe.
staying true to their london-centric sound, tracks -balanced diversity- and -soul dub- are peppered with references to uk garage, breakbeat and house, further helping the young label establish their soundscape.
the release is topped off by fabe’s remix of -balanced diversity-, a rocket of a track primed for the dancefloor and set to be an anthem. the perfect icing on the cake for this second, really strong release from entity.

becoming real is a young producer residing in a forgotten suburbia, busy channeling his very own postapocalyptic vision of london. a spectre-like entity flitting between a range of electronic frequencies, his self-termed >ghost-step< sound is as much influenced by a conceptual future dystopia as by luminaries zomby & mount eerie. re-imagining the iciest of grime synths through a warped k records aesthetic, becoming real has forged a frozen universe that still retains an unequivocally human feel. charged with future-dread, this is music for seas drowned in oil, tar-coated forest landscapes, and a prophesised world of underwater clubs and haunted dancefloors. after a sold out debut white label release last year, becoming real is ready to emerge in 2010 with the release of >fast motion< / jens clock<, backed with a scratcha dva remix of fast motion.
