the tom parris release on elp have a nice package with 2 trendy tracks. the a side has funky parts and great arrangements. the b side turns in a brilliant more stripped track. with fat synth bassline and electro feeling. fantastic to use for the primetime in all clubs worldwide
hertz - 3 ways was a real monster on harder techno floors when it was released 2 years ago. now we have remixes of this fine piece of work from the likes of dj misjah and joerg henze. on the a side misjah delivers a heavyweight bomb that cannot be ignored with clever use of the main synth line with heavy 303s and walloping drums. on the flip wjh uses dk8 like bass synth bass sounds and similar heavyweight percussion and huge breaks to achieve maximum dance floor impact. this a seriously dj friendly piece of work. do not ignore
the elp label has gone from strength of late with its stream of high quality output from the immense huggotron, and the hugg and pepp remixes to the remixes of samuel l session - velvet. this release is by one of the top djs in the uk - none other than fergie. here we have two tracks of equal quality with the a side track - the yarg heading straight for the jugular with its steady intro before the massive bass and synth riffs hit like a train. the track progesses extremely well before the immense mid break where the intensity of the synths increases before the thunderous track kicks back in. on the flip we have a perfect accompniment with stigmar - a track that again has a very driving european feel with the addition of subtle key change synths and a classy uplifting feel
MURDER WAS THE BASS (MOVE YA! & STEVE LAYERS REMIXES)
12" Vinyl UK29.09.06
the original dk8 - murder was the bass needs absolutely no introduction. it was one of the biggest crossover techno hits of the last few years and is instantly recognisable. here we have a limited edtion breaks remix package with two mixes from move ya and steve lavers. these two mixes have been floating around on cdr for a while and have attracted the attention of marie ann hobbs from radio 1 as well the plump dj s. the a side cleverly uses the vocal from foremost poets - moonraker and fuses it with an expertly crafted rework of the original with absolutely tip top production that positively destroys you on a large sound system. on the flip there is an instrumental rework that is equally effectiv
chris delay should need no introduction by now. he has made some truly superb relases over the last few months on labels such as i220 and anny jack that have featured in many top djs record boxes. this release for our elp limited series si a real winner and is 2 tracks of dancefloor thunder. the a side is truly devasating with its percussion intro and razor sharp hats before the amazing synth bass drops and sets the track alight. the flip side continues the onslaught on a slightly deeper theme with its modulated pads and deeper trancey build. this is a cracking single
an absolute cracker. its produced by marcelinho cic and is a record with two greatly contrasting mixes fo the same hit club track. the a side is very pumping with its excellent percussive groove. then the key elements are introduced with hi pitched stabs and cool funky synth edits. the track moves along very nicely with its grooving bassline before the 2/3 break and drop. on the flipside there is a very cool minimal mix by david keno (aka vernis) with its stripped down groove but keeping the same elements
wow !! the a side is a belting building club groove with tribal undertones and excellent breaks and drops whilst on the flip there is an great bass stab driven club groove with superb atmospherics that just builds to a break two thirds of the way through then drops superbly well. another winner
this is a new release from german producers >crasheurs de feu<.. the a side is a killer synth lead hit that fits well with the current german synth sound with its driving bassline and clever breaks.. the flip is a vocal version of this beast to compliment the a side.. fergie has been caning this in the clubs and played it already last year on his radio 1 show !!!
these two tracks are more like jel ford's original work with heavy detroit influences. the a side is a red planet influenced monster with a rolling bassline and sparkling keys and melody lines. the flip has a similar theme but with oscar charlie's drum and bass influence with heavy bass stabs and eerie pads. this is killer - make no mistake
the swedish producer david roiseux is known from his own arrival works and innovez records.. the two tracks on this inch are both very techno orientated and have a very nice old school feeling.. great stuff for a dark underground party..nn
hertz bringing the techno vibe up to date in a very funky and percussive manner, with heaps of filtering action and further studio trickery. as with the initial release, this 1 sider will be extremely limited, so be quick
this is the 2nd part of the remix series of the mighty dk8 . 2 superb remixes from umek and paco osuna. umeks mix is typically funky with great builds and drops whilst paco osuna keeps up the intensity with a really hard mix that takes no prisoners. a must buy!
