marcin czubala has been a busy man of late but the paper work certainly hasnt stopped the creativity flowing. whilst setting up his own imprint >your mamas friend<, for which he produced the first release, he is now back with a very strong ep for mobilee records >just away<. as someone who is always moving forward and looking to expand in new ways, czubala applies the same philosophy to his music production and this release presents a very fresh look on modern house music. >just away< features four tracks, each of which are expertly produced and have their own moment in the night, with much more bass, rawness and energy than his previous releases. whilst the title track warms the floor with drawn out synths and a expectant bassline, >memory lane< is an obvious peak time killer. meanwhile on the flip, >not like this< and >pleasure control< carry a calmer deep house vibe, but still enough of a kick to keep the floor moving. enjoy!

mobilees back to back compilation series has been a staple part of the imprints release schedule over the years. originally started by anja schneider, it has since been presented by gummihz, miss jools and most recently and.id with his unique jazz interpretations of classic mobilee tracks. the 5th installment of the series is coming soon, and we are very excited to announce that our longtime label member and leading artist marcin czubala is at the helm.

part 2 of the limited edition vinyl series for the >hi five mobilee< compilation is quite a contrast to its predecessor with more hip swingin housey vibes. moon harbours daniel stefanik first appeared on mobilee at the very early stages of the label, with his track >the bells< on the limited edition add-on release to pan-pots >obscenity< ep. back then his style was associated with old school sounds, detroit energy and chicago vibes, and his track for mobilee068 >tripiando los colores< shows that hes still rocking this to full effect. this is one for the summer! on the b-side of this release, label stalwart marcin czubala brings us >spinning la roulette<, which is sure to get the dance floor moving! straight in with a very funky bassline, playful percussion and hypnotic groove, it offers guaranteed fun on a plate. his recent release with hugo, zoo communale, stormed the charts and we hope you enjoy spinning la roulette in the same way!

marcin czubalas track titles are starting to closely mirror his career path. like a swift gazelle czubala bounces back and forth between mobilee records and nick curlys 8bit recordings, leaving in his wake a trail of triumphant releases. >zoo comunale< springs czubala back to mobilee after the success of his >minskaya< ep on 8bit, and jumping in the cage with him is none other than well renowned artist hugo. an impressive discography and busy touring schedule have made hugo a reputable name in clubs around the globe. as a fan of his jazz educated, funk inspired sound czubala approached hugo to collaborate. the subsequent intertwining of these two musical animals produced >zoo comunale<, its bouncy grooves and hypnotic loops tinged with a bit of funk. animalistic stuff. >zoo comunale< is comprised of two tracks, a-side >zoo comunale< and b-side >no tu no<, as well as a digital bonus track >polita<. every track has its own unique twist, each proving perfect for dance floors world wide. mobilee says welcome to the zoo, and enjoy!

following the success of his last lp, chronicles of never, and his recent track jedwab on nick curlys 8bit imprint, marcin czubala makes his return to mobilee with mezcalinna. continuing his string of exceptional releases bearing his unmistakable signature marksùslinky, undulating grooves full of bizarre twists and turns that ceaselessly continue to surprise the listenerùmezcalinna is comprised of two tracks whose continuities only serve to highlight the ways in which they differentiate themselves from and act as complements to one another. day 1 begins with a heavy bass line echoed by a stuttering percussive beat that guides the rhythm until the vocal chants and kick drum drop. accented by occasional drum fills and cymbal crashes, the track reaches its climax with the entrance of a lone piano chord that, despite its initially alienating presence, ultimately serves as a means of melding and unifying the tracks constituent components. if day 1 is an early morning track, day 2 provides its counterpart as a nighttime dance floor stormer with a darker sound and haunting, reverb-laced vocals. also beginning with a splattering of percussion but taking a decidedly somber turn with dissonant synthesizer stabs and an eerie vocal loop that shadows the track from beginning to end, rhythm and creative use of contorted vocals lead the way as this track zigzags in a way that only marcin czubala can make music do
