based in peckham, tokyo wax is a unified collection of creatives sharing an appreciation for a broad range of electronic music. having refined their tastes and gathered experience through promotion and radio shows their focus has since shifted to releasing records and in doing so, providing a platform for auspicious piers to bloom. in the wake of the success of that inaugural record from label owners presence and persona they ready their carefully crafted return with the second installment coming courtesy of 20 year-old mastermind circula backed up by endeguena mulu of ethiopian records on his first ever remix.

shanti kommt urspruenglich aus dem sanskrit und bedeutet ruhe oder frieden. die beiden jungs von kollektiv ost finden diese ruhe und frieden an den seen und in den wäldern in ihrer heimat der mecklenburger seenplatte. diese ruhe inspiriert sie zu tracks, die selbst den tief in sich ruhenden ur-mecklenburger ein wohlwollendes lächeln entzaubern, den kopf zum nicken und das tanzbein zum schwingen bringen. so geschehen auf der seenplatte006. sie bringt uns mit shanti und a forrest called mulu zwei techhousetracks der feinsten sorte.
