kid dramas sound is one thats taken giant strides in the last couple of years, first showcased in his metalheadz debut which came in the form of last years trife ep. building upon that is the addition of the enforcer ep set for release this september and consisting of 4 chunky slabs of hard-hitting drum and bass interlaced with beautiful pads and soundscapes, a combination very few successfully execute.

bringing the deeper sound to the forefront, it made natural sense to welcome back label stalwart skeptical, whose sub centered sound has remained an inspiration since his dispatch debut in 2010 and subsequent output on labels like exit, r&s and soul:r.
when combined with the eclecticism of kid drama, it makes for a stunning fusion, developing the blueprints foundation and delving further into the lower frequencies.
setting the path for our new imprint in the best way, with some of our very favourite artists, we are proud to showcase both skeptical & kid drama on dispatch blueprints.

taking a deeper, more old skool inspired route, blueprints sets itself apart from the other dispatch labels, with a stronger emphasis on organic progression and building the vibe from scratch, savouring all the intricacies and adjustments along the way.
we’ve always been lovers of the roots / heritage sound that so many artists and labels have inspired us with until today so we’re feeling privileged in being able to showcase this sound via our new imprint.
reaching out to the discerning listeners, with an ethos all too often lost in the impatient modern day, kid drama pays his due respects, opening dispatch blueprints in the best possible way, with two classic tracks with all the emotion of the late 90s.

kid drama’s debut metalheadz release is one that is set to shake up this 4-year-old alias as he heads in a direction that’s slightly more focussed on the dancefloor, whilst managing to subtly retain some of the elements that have seen him become so loved in the deeper and more experimental side of drum and bass. the ‘trife ep’ proves how much of a talent kid drama is, from the savage bassline in ‘brutal d’ to the late 90s techstep vibes of ‘articulation’ all the way to ‘payback’, which is a track that could have easily come out under his and boddika’s instra:mental moniker. this is an extremely well-rounded project and one we’re delighted to be releasing on metalheadz.

jeroen secret cinema verheij launched gem records in december of 2009. the label represents the versatile array of sounds that verheij himself plays in his dj sets. the first two releases came from dutch super talents and secret cinema protŽgŽs egbert and peter horrevorts. welcome to my club mixed by secret cinema explores the realms of verheijs club sound and his flavors for the coming season. the package includes the latest release on gem secret cinema glad chord (gem003) and an exclusive preview of two tracks from the forthcoming ep haasten by egbert (gem004). the cd kicks off with vintage synth chords from jamie lloyd but soon twists in another direction with the sexy g-funk electro beats of big bully. after that, the cd picks up pace and reveals the energy that drives secret cinemas sets. with 20 tracks on the cd, this is one of the most action packed compilations out at the moment and takes the listener on an audible trip beyond stylistic barriers in electronic music.
