The highly promising Loopy opens its account with a double dose of disorientating, hypnotic botheration from NZ-er Oliver Peryman, ex of labels like Samurai Horo, Tri Angle and Exit. Both cuts are curtly compelling: SS is darting and hyper, Knecht more haunted, percussive. On the flip, Kassem Mosse contributes some elastic, bubbling funk, with characteristic panache, and Oren Ambarchi settles in for twelve minutes of the frighteners. An excellent EP. Watch out for Loopy.
