needs (not-for-profit) is a nonprofit record label & collective lovingly curated by bobby pleasure. we believe in people. the concept of the label is to use music as a medium to spread love, unity and the idea of giving back. promoting harmony and togetherness rather than isolation and estrangement, each release and accompanying event will act as a support stream to various issues within society such as mental health, homelessness and equality. for the third release we have tracks from lord of the isles, mehmet aslan, petwo evans, bartellow & nick gynn. five artists from different countries of the world who all have the needs factor, and have very kindly donated their music to the dancefloor. all profits from this release will be donated to help refugees charity. everybody has needs

1 per customer ,for our next release we team up with fellow nonprofit un women in support of heforshe arts week a solidarity campaign which explores the power of the creative arts as a means to shatter stereotypes and allow all genders to reach their full potential. featuring the beautiful sonic soundscapes of the super talented peggy gou and juju & jordash, the release is housed in fully printed sleeves with bespoke cover artwork courtesy of the line girl. a fundraiser event will also take place at londons oval space on sunday 11th march 2018 featuring daytime talks & panels curated by resident advisor, mixcloud, aim & shesaidso, and a evening soundtracked by peggy gou plus more. all profits donated to un women uk.

needs is a new label that bills itself as a not-for profit concern, which may apply to many record labels, but this one in particular calls upon a strong cast of deep house producers to impart the kind of smallville-friendly sounds that discerning heads should snap up in a heartbeat. hubie davisons i know is a melancholic affair with heart nagging strings, while johannes albert injects a little spice into proceedings with a choice breakbeat and some excellent bird song on vigilia. dj swaggers 21st century slow jam is a peppy little shuffler with warm acidic bass and a kick ass swing in the beat, and then bobby pleasure finishes the record off with the wistful but tech-edged cloudspotting.
