after releasing milestone eps between 2007 and 2008 on pheeks archipel imprint, immigrant and their home label, cynosure, the uruguayan duo monoblock completed a great 2009. inaugurating the spanish une label during the summer with their introduktion ep, monoblock also released intensiones, their third record on mike shannons cynosure. recent berlin implants, by way of valencia, monoblock start off 2010 right with a superbly executed whole artist ep on airdrop records. bringing together three tracks of very different moods, the shouting nonsense ep reflects the richness and diversity of electronic concepts covered by monoblock. going from the most rousing and bouncey tech house in shouting nonsense to the more stripped environment of cienpies and passing through the use of live instruments in calid.

the duo from uruguay monoblock are back with another deadly combination of tracks. finally the time has come to release (on vinyl only) the bootleg entitled >in-tensiones<. a complex remix using several horn parts and held together by a labyrinth of percussion. the result is a monster of a groove backed by samples from one of jazzs all time greats.
next up is >soul whispers<. looking for a dark groove that fuses fine minor chords and sultry whisper like vocals then look no further. monoblock again create a shaker of a groove that keeps things flexing all whilst keeping the floor pondering and guessing at whats to come. a super funky combo that monoblock have built their reputation on!

in a time where we have seen a full through back to the sound of the 90s where almost every new record sounds exactly like it was made back in the day. its so refreshing to have producers like martin tc around. hailing from montevideo uruguay, former member of the now defunct monoblock project martin tc proves again that its all about the cutting edge of modern funkyness. delivering a ultra funky, jazz injected techno bomb of an ep. we are proud to present martin tcs first solo project and most definitely not his last. in situ on side a is an exploration in chicago style jack combined with a keen sense latin groove and definitely is the money ticket, a sure shot bomb, a burner, a floor filler, a wmd, explosive, techno poetry in motion… if i do say so… side b continues with the funkyness of bukle but takes in further into a more challenging up tempo realm that can go either way in a house or techno set. al fin y al cabo and vice versa are an excellent reminder that techno jazz is still here and that the swing will never die.

zap immerses us squarely in its parallel dimension, a place where stuck-up sounds and elegant percussions coexist with a martian sub bass. curious scene to expose a slightly conventional instrument in a dancing floor, the bandoneon, which chopped with a sharp knife and served with mastery, manages to transform the track into a dizzy trip and full of surrealism.
inxec achieves to transmit the feeling of no gravity based on orbiting elements, volatile basses and open field sounds. as it goes it leads us through a space trip, capable of opening a gap in any type of session, which suddenly can turn into a space odissey with dyes of psychological thriller.
