nach dem erfolg seiner post-rock band fridge begann kieran hebden seine solokarriere als four tet. nach der veröffentlichung einiger high-profile remixe, unter anderem für apex twin auf einer warp compilation, erschien sein debütalbum ‚dialogue‘ 1999 auf trevor jackson’s legendärem output recordings. sein bahnbrechendes zweites album * pause* erschien erstmals 2001 auf domino, und wurde von der presse oft als folktronica-album beschrieben. nach einigen jahren ist das album jetzt endlich wieder auf vinyl inklusive downloadcode erhältlich!
