WHEN WE WERE INNOCENT
12 Inch 27.02.18
it s always summer somewhere we believe. here s our latest release to make a dull day brighter roy s first ep for all day i dream has continued to create quiet moments of magic for us since last summer. straight out the gate comes -when we were innocent . it s one of those seemingly small tracks on headphones that when played out in the club it sneaks up on your dance floor when the bassline arrives. especially after the main drop. emotive with a tight groove it s a winner! -gutfeelin- has a whimsical mood to it. it s not going to be for everyone that s for sure but for those with an adventurous or more playful spirit it lingers long in the memory. a track constantly discussed on our socials and asked about it s definitely got it s own special vibe. -shadow of truth- walks the tightrope between breakbeat and 4:4. it s emotive journey wraps you in it s arms and gives you a warm hug. falling in love? here s today s soundtrack to accompany that beautiful feeling. closing out the ep is sudden realization . smooth, deep and linear. a warm slice of groovy house. best enjoyed with your eyes closed. we hope you love the ep as much as we do.

modem:39 is booted and connected. main task: linking components like friendship, art and communication. this sustainable mixture results in label artist tommes first release on solid 180g black gold. the a.r.l.t. ep represents a thoughtfully crafted selection of analog sounds, inspired by classic house music. tommes, being a part of eastern germany s underground scene since 20 years, demonstrates his unique style with four timeless tracks. his passion for dubby sounds and chords echoes through the whole ep – solid deepness incoming!

mcdrive is a bass line driven tune, full of versatile, warm synthie-melodies and catchy percussions. its length offers great mixing possibilites.

let s get smooth and dreamy on the „stendalsunsetboulevard“. a beautiful piece for any occasion.

side b features two more linear and straightforward tracks. -deeples“ hypnotic dub-groove creates a very profound depths. club approved!

cheerful house roller „deemin goes- glares with atmospheric pads and a punchy bassline - perfectly rounding off an honest solo-ep.

NO UP NO DOWN
12 Inch 24.06.16
on t you get fooled by the name of our 8th release! no up no down is the main title and the song itself is everything but linear. the organic percussion rhythms in combination with the warbling subbassline gets you into the groove from the first moment. the booming kicks and rough-hewn hats is lending a vibrant edge to the mix. a morphing ethereal guitar riff, filtered to the edge and the slightly insane giggeling vocal effects, carry you away in a chant-like hypnosis. nothing here feels like a static loop. it s a masterclass in restraint, tension built to breaking and then get resolved.

ORCHARD (STEVE STOLL, DANIELA LA LUZ REMIXES)
12 Inch 22.03.16
it’s been a while but hey-ho, coincidence is back on vinyl. the tracks we got from aussie based female dj trinity were simply too analog sounding, so slapping it on wax was the logical thing to do. the vinyl release adds remixes by two of our alltime heroes - steve stoll and daniela la luz. basically: the originals are deep and darkish, the steve stoll rework is a rework in one smooth jam so with plenty of energy while daniela’s version does it really smart and housey. so on with the friggin show!
early support from: amelie lens, charlotte de witte, codeless, didier beydts, electric indigo, eric cloutier, flash brothers (cr2 / armada), goldfox (forty five), jim poe (inthemix), joseph capriati (drumcode), mickael davis aka dolby d (italo business) , paco osuna, paride saraceni, radical g / linear straight, redhead, robert owens, seba lecompte , steve cop, trinity, twist3d (bunker records), ...

THE DETROIT EP PART 1 (RED VINYL)
coloured 12 Inch 10.09.14
a diverse and damaging three track ep from bone, exploring and exhibiting detroit techno musically, figuratively and spiritually. a1. here to stay (won t fade away) a nod to detroit as an ever-present - a marker by which others are measured, bone s first track on the detroit ep, here to stay (won t fade away) makes a statement above and beyond just being a fine example the music it refers to. the sumptuous melody that opens the track is accompanied by a substantial yet soft, almost warm, kick, a combination that somehow provides an atmosphere and depth way beyond merely the of the sum of its parts. more rolling percussion and drums are crisply ushered in before the here to stay (won t fade away) vocal begins looping over the composition. linear, straight up loops, grooves and rhythm give a consistent sense of railroad-esque motion atop of an ever-present vein of lush synth and melody. a track that is certainly here to stay. a2. detroit is ... soul with more of an emotional focus than symbolic this time, it s clear this one is from bone s heart. detroit is ... soul, ducks and weaves in the grey area between house and techno, the initial percussion that is brushed over the kick giving more of a house swing than a techno groove. the on/off, cut-and-dry synth chords contrast with the looser fluidity in here to stay (won t fade away), and gives a real sense of intent and desire. the real focal point however is the profound vocal that comes swirling over the top, -detroit is what i love, detroit is what i need, detroit is where i m from, detroit s the air i breathe?- no explanation necessary. b. detroit is ... hard bone rounds off part 1 of his detroit ep with aplomb. where the previous two tracks have drawn on the emotional and symbolic significance of detroit as a place and as an ideal, detroit is ... hard, cuts straight to the chase. utilizing the same vocal sample as detroit is ... soul, bone feeds things through the grinder and comes out with a late night dancefloor destroyer that blends millsian fury and red planet mystique with the archetypal subject detroit aesthetic. chaotic arpeggiated melody, indignant claps and breakneck drums and percussion are the chosen company for bone s words on this flipside to detroit is ... soul. detroit is ... hard, undoubtedly to become a mainstay for sweaty after-hours affairs the world over

12 Inch 20.05.14
russian producer sanys has impressed with a series of raw techno records on his downfall theory label - and his latest release further showcases his talents. dominance starts with atmospheric synth washes before a granular bass and relentless percussion propel it forward. like previous sanys releases however, this is not straightforward linear techno and a rumbling vocal and insistent drums will keep the listener engaged. my concern sees sanys opt for a different approach, with a pulsing bass and a crystalline synth line going up and down the scales, intertwined with a vocal snippet, while told you so features another stylistic shift. on this occasion, it s back to the darker sound that was audible on some of the earlier downfall theory releases. tight, snappy drums and robust, insistent claps provide the basis for a droning, murky bassline that cuts through the arrangement like a lighthouse rays in the dark of night. finally, irish producer eomac, one half of lakker, delivers a version of dominance that centres on lithe broken beats, ghostly melodies and insidious tonal shifts. as its title suggests, dominance shows sanys has become a master of the techno form.

ATMOTRAX E.P
12 Inch 22.10.09
by rene breitbarths >atmotrax ep<, the second vinyl release is carried out on his own imprint deep data. the first floor filler >peace< grooves skillfully with catchy vocals on a dry beat till its soulful conclusion towards the end with charm and pressure. total relaxation is achieved by >loop<, however without forgetting the obligatory groovyness - a good opener or as well appropriate while making love. simply beautiful. this releases vinyl bonus track is provided by falko brocksiepers remix of renes track >dynamo<. the man hereby delivers the peak time hit of this ep – straight forward minimal house. >airy< puts the finishing touch to this ep. last but not least this piece comes with a cracking portion of soul and shines with its arrangement and linearity. yet again without loosing focus to the dancefloor. all in all a sure thing which keeps deep data slipping into the record cases.

EL BAILE
12 Inch 27.02.08
williams is back with a brand new 12inch for get physical, el baile. the lead track immediately enthrals with its galloping kick, snare and analogue bass pattern, before a typically williams-eque, fat but understated electro motif, phased chords and crisp percussion edits propel it onwards into the heart of the dancefloor. >the unbearable truth< is a thrillingly modern, moody take on the straight-up acid track. a devastatingly simple, bending acid line lies at the heart of the track, but its the way the uncompromisingly linear beat and one-note bassline play off it that really makes this track fly. house music to get lost inside. >kiss of life< sounds every bit as vital and reviving as its title implies. its beauty lies in the intricate and expressive interplay of synths: beginning with a lowslung melodic motif, a more nimble, staccato bassline emerges, before the deep, kosmische-style chords arrive ahead of a powerful breakdown into heads-down techhouse strut.
