Trunk has made a name for itself as the go-to for unearthed library music rarities that really needed to be dusted off, scrubbed down and released to a wider audience. All those strange sounds that were made to be used alongside other cultural content - maybe a TV movie, or a science show - but that actually stand up on their own, in their own right. So, it's always going to be interesting when the label press release describes a record as "unusual". Pretty much everything it puts out is a little leftfield. In this case, though, Peter Patzer really did break the mould. A German artists whose sounds were devised for screen and set up his own library, Crea Music, in Bremen, to do just that. Here, we get a small insight into how much and how varied his work was. A truly fascinating exploration of deep sounds that can only be possible when synth meets vivid imagination and raw talent.[info sheet from distr.]
