“Excès d’amour” is a project comprised of 4 tracks that blend house, spiritual jazz, and Moroccan Gnawa influences. It is composed in Paris by Fayçal Latafi, an artist and DJ hailing from Casablanca, paying tribute to Chantal Jaquet, a philosophy professor specializing in Spinoza.

The excess of love for certain things can lead to our downfall, but it is the excess of love for music that gave birth to this EP…

The opus immerses us in a tender, radiant, and sensual story, yet also raw and original. Indeed, Fayçal Latafi has been recording his music for 6 years using digital and analog instruments such as the MPC2500 and the Korg M1 synthesizer… His work exudes authenticity and a unique poetry.

L’opus nous plonge dans une histoire tendre, solaire et sensuelle, mais aussi brute et originale. En effet Fayçal Latafi enregistre sa musique depuis 6 ans à partir d’instruments numériques et analogiques tels que la Mpc2500 et le synthétiseur Korg M1… son travail respire une authenticité et une poésie unique.
