Trance Plantations is the new brainchild of Nathan Daems and Falk Schrauwen. Both musicians know each other from Echoes of Zoo, an idiosyncratic and energetic band that effortlessly mixes ethio jazz and afrobeat with unadulterated rock. For this duo project they again draw on a range of influences, but slow down the tempo. They draw on tribal and spiritual music from all over the world and launch them into the cosmos through their electro-acoustic mix. They call their music 'Fictional Tribe Music (From Space)'.

On their first LP - the eponymous Trance Plantations - they immerse the listener in five different dream worlds. As a bonus, they teamed up with BetaMax & Danalogue - known from the British trio around Shabaka Hutching's The Comet is Coming - for an epic dancefloor proof remix.
